Beautiful drive to the motel through Gros Morne.  Staff very friendly and suggested a lovely spot to visit.  Great view from the restaurant looking out over the water.  Ocean view rooms so close to the water - lovely view.  Rooms are clean and comfortable.  

Great spot in Gros Morne

We had a lovely stay in one of the new units at this location. It was a newer built, 4 unit motel, not attached to the main motel, but not one of the cabins. It was right on the water, spacious, clean, just lovely, and only a short walk to the main building. The main building has a great dining room, as well as a bar that was great fun. You could order food at either location. Meals were great. The staff is great. Reception was very welcoming. The bar seemed to host the local population as well as tourists, so we got to enjoy NL hospitality! If the sun was out, I am sure the sunrises would have been spectacular. Cowhead is a quiet town as far as we could see. No "downtown" per say, but a grocery.

Fresh, clean, convenient 

Great hotel right on  the ocean.   Pool, hot tub, sauna, pub, restaurant , laundry on site and grocery and theatre nearby.   We stayed across the street from the main hotel and it was quiet and clean and had ice cold AC.  
5 minute drive to Shallow Bay beach and lighthouse trail.

Excellent stay - no complaints at all

What a memorable stay. Not only did the staff bend over backwards to make us feel welcome, but the view was something we will always cherish - looking out to the water and watching the tide roll in and out. 

The beds were one of the best on our tour - two super-comfortable beds and four pillows on each with excellent bedding. We had two desks, extra chairs, lots of dresser drawers, a TV, small fridge and an easy to use heat/cool unit. Even the separate baseboard heating in the bathroom provided extra comfort. Admittedly, there was a very L-O-N-G walk to our room, as the hotel was huge. We were in the main hotel, but there was also a house with private rooms and a common area, and several cabins that were part of the complex across the road. This definitely was the place to be when you are in a large tour group.

The area includes a large grocery store which the locals refer to as 'the mall' because it includes everything. There is also a yarn store and a museum.

The hotel has a pool and a hot tub available at the back, waterfront, but the weather was too cool to tempt us. There is also a restaurant and a separate bar on-site. We ordered take-out pizza, and it was delicious. Every night has some sort of event or entertainment. There was karaoke when we were there. Our best entertainment was watching the water on the bay out of our window. Priceless.



Room with a View

Clean and comfortable room with a great ocean view. All amenities were provided. Staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Excellent food in the restaurant. I would stay again if I'm ever in the area. One of the best places I stayed on my recent trip. 

Great small town hotel

As part of our bus tour we spent one night here. The rooms are located in a hotel type setting or lodge setting. We were in the main building, hotel setting. Our room was comfy with a waterfront view. Comfy linens and plush towels 

Deightful Motel

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Clean facilities. Beautiful ocean view. We stayed in the greenhouse where we had a door opening onto the ocean front with our own private picnic table. Highly recommend staying at this lovely location.

Hospitality plus!

I lost my prescription sunglasses which the ladies at the front desk found after I had left. I had left my name & address & they very kindly sent them to me. I never expected such service & appreciated the dedication they have for customer satisfaction. 
We had an ocean view room that had a porch that faced the ocean. Nice room & beautiful scenery.

Wonderful Staff

We spent 6 nights here following a group tour. The rooms are clean and spacious with comfortable beds.
Service was personalized and the staff was very accommodating. 
The hotel is right on the water with great views.
A wonderful site for exploring the scenery of the Northern peninsula.

Tranquil stay in scenic area

We stayed in one of the cabins for a night on a recent trip to Newfoundland. We were pleasantly surprised as we had not expected to have access to a kitchen that night. 

We also enjoyed our supper at the restaurant. Even although they were fully booked they accommodated our group of four.
