At Beaver Guest Ranch it is simply fantastic. Nicola and her crew take such warm care of their guests. Greetings at this point to Nicola and her family, Annika, Annie and JP - you are the best! 
From beautiful rides on great horses through picturesque landscapes, canoe trips on beautiful lakes to great catering and cozy evenings around the campfire including marshmallow grilling for young and old, everything is included. Nicola is really great as a host! You are more part of the family than just a guest. 
The program is always arranged individually and Nicola does her best to create unforgettable moments for everyone, depending on the weather and interests. 
The guest area is very cozy, very big, the rooms are nice, cozy and clean. The time on the ranch is simply pure relaxation. We take so many beautiful, priceless memories with us. Thank you for the wonderful time! We can only recommend the Beaver Guest Ranch! We would definitely love to come back and can highly recommend a stay!

Best Time!

July 2024 - We had a spectacular holiday at the Beaver Guest Ranch. We stayed for 3 nights in their beautiful guest suite on the ground floor of the lodge. The king bed in our room was very comfortable, with fresh luxurious bedding. Our nephew was super happy in his own room that had bunk beds. We had a huge, lovely bathroom for our family. There is a shared kitchen available with bar fridges, and complete cooking facilities if needed. This was very handy as we brought our own snacks, lunch food, and beverages such as beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks. 

Nicola and her team took such great care and attention ensuring we had everything we needed, in a relaxed hosting style that really made us feel welcome. The entire main lodge is beautifully renovated, with a cozy open concept dining room. Our package included breakfast and dinner, each meal we had was exceptional! We were never hungry, and Nicola prepared us an authentic German meal on our last night. 

The main reason we chose this ranch for our holiday was for the trail riding experience. Nicola has an incredible herd of 8 horses that are all so sweet and amazing. We got to go on 2 fantastic trail rides, and we were also given some private lessons as we are beginner riders. This was above and beyond my expectations!  Nicola cares deeply for the safety and well-being of both her guests and horses, and I was so happy to learn some proper riding skills to expand my knowledge and experience for next time. We also learned how to groom the horses, clean their hooves, and how to saddle them properly. 

We can’t wait to book our holiday for next year. I highly recommend Beaver Guest Ranch for anyone looking to explore a beautiful, peaceful area of BC. It is a tranquil destination where you can find adventure such as horseback riding or canoeing, or bask in the fresh air and quiet natural surroundings.

Wonderful stay

We had a great 3 night vacation.  I am a horse rider and went with my beginner rider husband.  The horse riding was fun, I enjoyed riding to Higgins lake.  The horses were well behaved.  
There are other things to do, we went swimming to Sulphorous lake close by and would have a small 5km run in the mornings.  There are canoes, and fishing.  If you don’t want to horse ride they take you for a ride on the ATV.  
The food was very good!!  Lunch is not included in the package, we brought sandwiches for lunches, but there is a kitchen and fridge if you want to cook your own lunch.  
The rooms were nice, with a table and chair or couch.  The bathroom, which was assigned just for us was just across the hall.  There are suites with the washroom inside the suite, but you do get a private bathroom regardless. 
The food was very good.  I would suggest booking your trip over Friday night for the all you can eat BBQ!
Also download your videos and Netflix at home to save their wifi.  The wifi itself was very good, we had no problem.  Some German guests were Skyping with family from home.  There is a dvd player with many dvd’s in the common area. 
Overall, it was the best deal in BC for guest ranch, we have been to a few.  We plan to go again next year.
This was one of the only areas in BC without forrest fires.  It is not a dry area.
We live in BC and are used to driving through fires.  It was nice to have clear skies on our trip.

great stay at this wonderful property

My wife and I stayed for three nights at the Beaver Guest Ranch. 
The first impression when driving up the driveway was that we had picked well. Mario greeted us as soon as we arrived with a big smile. We came as strangers but left as friends. 
The ranch is set up to accommodate larger groups and/or families (4 bedrooms with separate bathrooms, and a common very large living/dining room and a separate well-equipped kitchen with several fridges. We were the only guests and had the entire downstairs of the ranch to ourselves. Our bedroom was large, and very clean. The bed was comfortable. There was a TV and a stereo system in the living room. We also had a TV in our bedroom. We had no interest in watching TV though and didn't use either. We were welcome to use the ranch's BBQ, barbecuing two freshly caught rainbow trouts. 
We enjoyed the horses, and had a fantastic afternoon canoeing on Sulfurous Lake. The area, which is beautiful, might be a bit remote for some tastes but it suited us just fine.
In summary, we had a great time, and we would recommend the Beaver Guest Ranch without hesitation. If possible, we'd love to come back in the wintertime.

Perfect in all ways!

The service here was excellent. We where met by the most friendly owners who probably Are  the best at meeting your needs and requirements.
The room was great, the bed was comfortable, We Evan had our own bathroom.
Cleanliness and unique set up in a beautiful setting.
Many magnificent horses to your right as you drove in.
It felt like family. We also met other guests at breakfast and was a wonderful experience.

Unique horse guest  ranch in the Cariboo.

We (Austrian) came from Toronto to Vancouver and to the Beaver Guest Ranch. The guys immediately extended a warm welcome to us. We went horse-riding canoeing and hiking. We really had a lot of fun and the landscape is absolutely gorgeous. The next time when we visit British Columbia again, we'll surely come back! 



It was soo awesome!!

I cannot say enough great things about our stay. I am in total love with the ranch, the people and the landscape. Everything was beyond beautiful. We had an amazing but sadly a way too short stay. There is lots of activities you can do! We went for a horseback ride and canoeing. We saw lots of deer!! Canoeing was very relaxing. Super quiet lake and gorgeous. Absolutely breathtaking. The Guest ranch owners were beyond amazing and so were the other guests! Such a lovely Family Atmosphere!!! We had an amazing time and will definitely visit the ranch again!!

Beyond Beautiful

I stayed here with a friend in mid-August 2016, and the owners accommodated us very well: we got to choose a room, there was a camp fire where we roasted our sausages, and the breakfast was delicious. The location is great, far away enough from civilization yet close enough to find all groceries you want at short distance. This place really brings out the best in BC traveling and leisure.
