Owner will challenge you if you dare asking a question. Bad experience, I will never go back.

Great location. Great cottages. After my interaction with the owner, the ‘greatness’ of this place is now forgotten for good.

Bad staff, awful owner

We needed to rest. The place is very clean and well equipped. Wi-Fi is very important to us because we're traveling with an autistic teenager who, if he doesn't have his tablet, can easily disorganize himself. We were looking for tranquility and we found it.

Total rest

We stayed in one of the rooms in the main lodge.  The room was beautifully decorated and very clean, but it is small.  The bed is very comfortable. The room décor seems to have taken precedence over control of the noise level.  There is little to cushion sound.  We could even hear our next door neighbours walk quietly in their room.  Our patio door and  bathroom door squeaked and we were concerned  our neighbours heard these doors being opened and closed.  We could also hear the restaurants patrons, although that did not bother us much. The patio is very large, but the railing is so high you cannot see over it to the lake while sitting.  Strange mixture of styles and materials on the patio.  Price of the room is  a tad on the high side and you have to pay an extra $10.00 to have clean towels. All information in the room is in French except the envelope for a tip for maid service and there you will see a thank you.  It would appear that as guests we could have ordered a continental breakfast for $5.00, but we were not told this at check-in.  Nevertheless, staff was pleasant and helpful, although English seemed limited.  Despite what I have said, we would return. The individual chalets look lovely and it would be nice to stay in one of them.  We did not eat in the restaurant, but friends tell us the food is great.

Some small issues, mainly noise, but overall a nice place to stay.

Having ate there last night I must say the food was absolutely wonderful... my compliments to the chef. We were a group of five and all enjoyed the ambience,food and service.I had the duck,$30., which was cooked to perfection,medium rare.
Very personable server who make wonderful before dinner drinks on the terrace.

Coucoushee restaurant at Domaine Temikami

We felt like we were being bothersome at the check-in.  Their computer issue was far more important.  Had I not made a reservation beforehand, I would have never waited the 20-25 minutes we did.  
We have been there before, and the service similar.
Cottages are very comfortable and well equiped. Fabulous waterfront view.  Ideal for adults without children. No play area. No outdoor fires are permitted.  Waterfront, but no beach.

If I hadn't made a reservation, I would have left.

This is my second time sleeping in this establishment. The first time in one of the cottages and recently in the hotel just above the reception. To compare, I recommend the cottages, it is more expensive but it is worth it. In the cottages you feel in a haven of peace with a view of the lake. The rooms are very friendly and comfortable. It is all equipped, (kitchen, BBQ etc.) very clean and you feel at home but without the noise of the city. In the hotel room it is also good but the staircase is convenient to access with luggage. Here is a very comfortable and spacious room.

I was driving to Toronto, Ontario, and I had a place to sleep in New Liskeard, and I found this little treasure, and I rented the little room upstairs, and it was really beautiful.

It's an absolute treasure.

Second visit to Temikami, this time for our 36th Wedding Anniversary Dinner. Excellent food and friendly service, at what we consider a price well worth the experience and within an hours drive from home. Will definitely return again with family and friends for an enjoyable time. Merci beau coup!

Enjoyable Anniversary Dinner

At the beginning of October we spent a weekend at Domaine Témikami in Témiscamingue. We had a great contact with the management of the Domaine. The fun was at the meeting. A relaxed spirit reigned at the counter and the instructions for going to our room were clear as well as the spa, fitness room and dining room. The director was very kind to us in giving us our smallest wishes. The meals and service were excellent. Customer service is a fundamental value for this company.

My fiance and I took a weekend trip here for two nights. Initially we were going to take a cabin but opted for what sounded like a nice room in the inn.  The room was nicely appointed but was tiny. Additionally, there is significant sound transmission from one room to another.  We notified the owner who is aware of the problem and they are potentially going to fix this issue. The balcony did not have a panoramic view as described on the website and has a unfinished quality to it (exposed wiring and plywood).  The bathroom was quite nice with a waterfall shower. 

Finally, we used the hot tub one night which was excellent.  They charge a fee of $5 per person for one hour.  The view from the hot tub is excellent as well as the stargazing.

The Coucoushee restaurant is quaint but pleasant with well prepared contemporary food and good wine list.  Expect around $120 minimum for 2 people (appetizer, main, desert, and wine).

Overall, this place was generally decent with some short comings mostly based on value.  I expect more of a place that is charging $130/night in such a remote area.
