Hello, is anyone there?? Both my mom and I have been calling Spa Eastman for the last five days and left messages and no one has called us back. I am hesitant to book at a spa that won’t call someone back. How would i get in touch if my flight got cancelled or I needed to reach the hotel??  The fact that I can’t get a call back says something about the spa administration as noted in other reviews. Please call back interested guests!

Hello, is anyone there?

While there were many positive aspects to our 3-night/4-day stay at Spa Eastman, I am left with a negative feeling about the place, or, more specifically, its administration.

In February, 2023, I won first prize in a raffle, handed to me by the President and founder, which was a "Cheque-Present," for  a "Spa Destination"package, valid for one year. The package included 3 nights in a "superior" room, 9 meals, and access to activities and lectures on "the art of living"; to the walking trails; the gym; and the therm-therapy installations. On the envelope containing the certificate was written, "Value: $1,206.00

I telephoned the spa, and booked my three nights (June 24 through 26), and was told that the additional price for three nights for my wife would be $712.00. I assumed that this included Quebec's 15% sales taxes.

When we arrived on the 24th, the receptionist told me that my reservation would not begin until the next day: June 25th! Luckily, our room (which I found to be rather basic, and not "superior," except, perhaps, for the jacuzzi in the bathroom, was unoccupied and ready. The king-size bed was comfortable, except for gigantic pillows, and a thick duvet. The next day, the very helpful chambermaid (thank you, Jane!) exchanged the pillows for thinner ones, and the day after that, she substituted a blanket for the duvet, and we finally had a good night's sleep.

The meals and restaurant service were very good, but the restaurant can be extremely noisy, so we took our food on trays to the nearby quiet "bistro," and ate in peace. 

My wife has mobility and other challenges, so we did not avail ourselves of any of the facilities in the spa, which appeared to be excellent. 

Upon vacating our room, the receptionist told me that there was nothing else to pay. I was surprised, but thought that perhaps the President had left word to make the prize for two people. We returned for our final lunch to be told that we owed an additional $1,045.11 for my wife. The same person who had apparently made a mistake in our booking dates claimed that, even though we had not used the facilities, we had to pay as if we had used them. She claimed that this was the spa's protocol. I protested vehemently, and finally was charged a total of $818.32 (the $712 I had been quoted + taxes).

Once home, I discovered that the spa indeed offers a no-frills "Destination Package" for a minimum of three nights, double occupancy, for $246 per day, + taxes. I do not understand why this was not offered to us to begin with. 

In sum, I recommend that anyone dealing with Spa Eastman insist on being given their reservation details in writing, so that there are no misunderstandings about dates or fees. In addition, unless you are willing to sleep on over-stuffed pillows and sweat under a duvet, change the bedding as soon as you arrive.



Mixed feelings about Spa Eastman

I was in the main pavilion and I stayed 3 nights 1- be aware, no cafeteria, so for coffee early, we have to go downstairs and get it if there is any left in the boiler, otherwise we ask the restaurant 2- no refrigerator in the rooms 3- the safe is not made for the 5 feet because I never managed to get to it 4- I didn 't get a nice welcome on the way home, we tell you about the 4 o 'clock tour guide, don 't miss it otherwise you're still asking questions 5- the restaurant, be aware that there's a convenient reception, so you want to be comfortable but don 't be too busy in the locker, that a little girl gave me the one from Koben and once again I was able to stay on the floor, so we wouldn 't like to hang out, but we would love to ask you to pay a lot of money, so if you're in the room, then you're in the restaurant, be aware that there's a very convenient reception, so you want to be comfortable, so you don't just sit in front of the locker, that a little girl from Koben

Experience of a Zen weekend

First experience at the Eastman Spa was fantastic! I am a fan of healthy and gourmet cooking, I was served! The quality and variety of fresh food, soups, meat and fish. I loved to eat at the table and get to know the lovely people! The activities are varied, adding great value to the experience of relaxing and relaxing rather than taking a vacation. I also loved the clean facilities of the local resort, which are very clean, and I have chosen to visit the same area, and I have not yet returned to the southern area, and I had to go back to Ignacio, and I had to look at the same area, and I had to go back to the same area, and I had to go back to the hotel with my family.

An extraordinary stay in every way!

So we're on our third visit to the spa, the first one was in the fall of 2015 and the second one was in January 2016. On our first two visits, we stayed in the Kaufman building, because we were accompanied by our two shih tzues. As we had wonderful memories of these two experiences, we had the pleasure of giving it back, without the dogs this time, for a longer period of time. So my husband and I spent a whole week at the spa and enjoyed the meal package  At the end of the rolls . We were tired and get energized again! We had such a wonderful week! We had such a great feeling of having a great care and a great sleep (neuro-spa) because of this. I was especially impressed by the quality of the care that we received from Emmanuelle, and I thought that we had a great experience of being at the spa, and we were all so grateful to have discovered that we had a great experience of being at the same time, and that we were so grateful to have all three of our friends who have already made a great deal of money, so we felt that we had a great

A week of well-being!

The pictures speak for themselves. The rooms advertised on their websites and not what you get. Save your money, go somewhere else. I have been ‘’upgraded’’ to another dirty and old room, after asking for mine to be cleaned… I have stayed at cleaner motels.

Dirty rooms - save your money

With my job, there are several sources of great stress; some more difficult periods, going so far as to affect my physical and mental health as well as my moral or mental health. Before I knew the Spa Eastman, I adhered to different ways to regain some balance so that I could continue. From weekly appointments at the chiro and the mass, rest, beaches in the south, therapies or relaxation sessions, etc. I was fine for a few days. Now, as soon as I start to lose control of my different lives, I save myself from Eastman with my badly mounted suitcase, the small knees up to the knees, the smokes, the hot hat, the gorgeous look, the beaches in the south, the therapies or relaxation sessions etc.

It's a matter of survival.

The park is relaxing. Quiet, plenty of vegetables, plenty of hammocks or chairs. The choice of activities is varied, there are miles of hiking trails. Hot and cold baths are impeccable. Careful professionals, varied care choices (but better booked in advance). My spouse is very pleasantly surprised by the benefits of her pedicure ahh! The food table with the produce grown on site will make you fat thanks to a low-carbon, gluten-free diet with even 2 vegetarian choices. The epicurium in me was filled, I would say, had to adapt an ahh!

It's perfect!

I've had the good fortune of spending 24 hours at the wonderful Eastman Spa, one night it's definitely not enough to enjoy everything that's on offer!! Next time I'll reserve for 3 nights. The meals are delicious, the thermal treatment facilities offer us a variety of choices to enjoy all the benefits and what about the pool she's experiencing! I've wished to be at the many wellness workshops, I haven't had the opportunity to take the trails out in the wild. Oops if you want to book facial care or you have to do it two weeks before everything is complete! Relax under a starry sky near the fire and then fall asleep with the sounds of the stars singing, what a joyful massage!

A must for well-being

I enjoyed my experience at the Eastman Spa. The atmosphere was warm, the food was fresh, tasty and well presented. There was also a great diversity of care and services. The view is absolutely magnificent. The place is quite conducive to a moment of respite and relaxation. However, the road to get there and the parking were hard to reach. There were many bumps and crevices.
