Oh for heaven’s sake.  Can’t you provide some easy method to correct inaccurate information which people may rely upon when choosing travel accommodation?  Am I at 200 characters yet.  No not yet?

Van Galis has been gone for a long time.

Stayed here for a wedding in July with family visiting from Scotland. The in-room portable air conditioners were too loud to turn on and it was hot and humid outside. Van Gali's used to provide Keurig coffee machines which have now been replaced with instant coffee and powdered creamers. Very disappointing.

St Andrews Suites not what they used to be...

When we booked this, we thought we were staying at Van Gali's Inn. We then found out it had been sold and new management changed the name to Saint Andrew Suites. The tiny rooms have been built in the attic so the roofline is crazy and I hit my head on the ceiling a number of times. We also thought that it was a bed-and-breakfast when in fact it's just a bed! The worst part however, was that we stayed here two nights and no one came to make the bed or change our linens. By Day two we had no towels except our used ones. There is no management on property. The walls are thin and we could actually hear our neighbors snoring next-door. There is a café on the first floor which recently opened with coffee and some pastries but when they open in the morning you can hear them right below your bed. Could've easily stayed at the Best Western up the street and had a better experience. Not recommended

Now St Andrew Suites--disappointed 

Second visit in a month and it just keeps getting better. The owners cannot do enough for you. The room is super clean, very spacious and has everything you need to make your stay memorable. Park your vehicle and enjoy downtown Fergus. Van Galis Inn could be rated with some of the top Boutique Inns in the area and frankly anywhere in Ontario. Its all here and it is what you make it. Best Kept Secret

This is a great place to stay if you want to enjoy Fergus, and the surrounding area.  We stayed in the Wellington room and it was lovely.  The king sized bed was very comfortable and the gas fireplace made for a romantic ambiance.  The bathroom is large and clean and has a nice shower, and a large claw-foot tub for those that want to soak.

The service was great.  We knew that the café would not be open for breakfast on Sunday morning but we were delighted when muffins, fruit and a coffee maker were delivered to our room on Saturday night.  We were well taken care of.

Our only complaint, and it's a small one, was that the toilet tended to run and the sound of the trickling water became a nuisance.  I didn't get a chance to mention it to the owners before we left so I hope they see this note.

Lovely place.

A beautiful and sensitively decorated B&B. We stayed in the Wellington Room. The room was bright, clean and cozy and the bed was perfect and extremely comfortable. A gas fire place was nice in the evening, added a nice glow to the room. 

Breakfast was delicious, toasted egg, ham and cheddar on fresh baked rye along with excellent coffee. Service was great and the proprietors were very friendly, accommodating and helpful.  After our two day stay we took coffee and muffins for the journey home even though we had breakfast before we left. The muffins gingerbread and gluten free chocolate chip baked in their kitchen were so good. 

Can't wait to return to Van Gali's and will definitely recommend the B&B to friends and family
