PROS: 
Conveniently located, spotlessly clean, gorgeous shower, comfortable blankets and pillows. 
CONS:
Not very private, located in a residential development with backyard neighbours just a few feet away. The photos in the ad make the house appear to have land around it, but it does not. Our room was very sparsely furnished, no drawers to store clothes, and the only surface to set anything of your belongings on is the small dining table. The Lounge Area consists of what felt like two lawn chairs at the foot of the bed, not at all comfortable to sit in. The air conditioning unit located on the outside wall made an unbearably loud vibration throughout the room whenever it went on. We sent an email at 10:30pm asking them to shut it off and we opened a window, but had to keep the shade closed for privacy, so not enough cool air came in. We also opened the bathroom window, which had broken shards of glass on the outside. Also, one wall of the bathroom is frosted glass, and there is no bathroom door, which meant that if one person is up in the night, the bright bathroom light wakes the other person. 
This establishment is NOT a B&B. We never met the host (Bryn), and there are no common areas. We were told in an email that we were charged the « non-breakfast » rate, and they do not serve breakfast due to COVID. Our stay was in Aug 2023, when health restrictions due to the pandemic had been lifted for o many months. We texted Bryn after leaving the next morning, to give him our feedback, and let him know how poorly we slept, and we never received a response. 
There also appears to be some confusion btwn this property and an older one called  Blackstone Lodge B&B in another location on Cedarbowl Place, which was run by someone named Ian. Many of the great reviews on Trip Advisor seem to reference the other property. 

A few PROS, and many CONS

As seems to be quite common in this post-covid era, Blackstone is now bed and no breakfast. We also didn't see the hosts during our two day visit, so this more resembles a hotel experience than a traditional B&B experience.

That noted, check-in is seamless, the rooms are very spacious and bright, and the shower and bathroom facilities excellent. Everything was completely clean, well set out and everything worked. Location is excellent, in a new part of town very close to an abundance of hiking trails and a 2 minute drive into town.

Comfortable room, great location

The location was convenient to downtown for restaurants, and it was also convenient for hiking and the fishing. The neighborhood was quiet and had beautiful mountain views. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and attractive. The breakfasts were delicious. I would love to return someday!

Fernie holiday

We had the best view of the mountains from our king size bed, where we had privacy so we could keep the blinds open to see it at all times. It was extremely clean and well cared for . Massive shower stall. Close drive to the downtown. Very quiet.

Extremely Clean and Well Cared For

Beautiful spot in a brand new amazing location! Would definitely stay here again. Was very clean, and had everything we needed. The owners check in everyday to make sure everything is good! The view from the rooms are priceless.

The perfect get away spot

Blackstone B&B was amazing, our room was very clean, cozy and comfortable with a mountain view. It was easy to find in a new neighborhood surrounded by many modern homes. Parking was on site. The host was great, they were great at providing our amenities such as coffee and towels and were always available for our requests or questions. We will defiantly be staying there again!

Blackstone B&B Ski Trip

What a great little spot just outside the main town of fernie! A beautiful place throughout and room 3 (upstairs) has amazing views of the mountains for you to wake up to. Bryn was an incredible host, super responsive and helpful! 

No breakfast with covid BUT still 10/10 and would recommend to any couples looking for an affordable getaway with your friends own private space!

Perfect Fernie getaway for 2

We just spent 4 nights at Blackstone B&B while skiing at Fernie.  A few days prior to check-in Bryn sent us a welcome package and check in instructions.  We completed our self check-in and got settled in after a ski day.  We are so glad we made the decision to stay off hill and with Bryn and Ruby at their lovely B&B.  We stayed in room 1 on the ground floor, it was super spacious and exactly like the photos.  During COVID, the B&B are not providing breakfast but they had full assortment of tea and Keurig's for our morning coffee.  After a long ski day, Byrn offered the use of his hot-tub located on the upper balcony.  Great way to unwind, soak and take in the beautiful vistas. 

Bryn super helpful with offering some local knowledge of Fernie Ski resort and providing some dining options.

We would definitely return to Fernie and Blackstone B&B.

HIdden gem, super close to Fernie Alpine Resort

We stayed here for two nights in July. Our first time in Fernie and we couldn't be happier that we chose this B&B. Bryn and Ruby sent us an email before we arrived with directions and check in instructions. The check in was very smooth as they give you a code for the door. After we were settled, Bryn and Ruby gave us an overview of the city and some suggestions on where we could eat and things to see. Its about a 15-20 min walk into downtown and it is fairly flat. The suite is very quiet, they have cable, wifi and a coffee maker. The shower is huge and the bed was comfortable. 
We loved Fernie and will be staying here again next time. Great hosts and you will not be disappointed if you stay here. Bryn and Ruby definitely go above and beyond!

Excellent Five Star Bed and Breakfast

A last-minute decision to stay at Blackstone Bed & Breakfast it was not a decision that I regret. We stayed in room 3 which was located on the upstairs level the view of the mountains was breathtaking. The room beautifully decorated I need to know where they purchased the bedside lights as I want to purchase for my house. The room is grandiose with a large pitch roof and tons of space. I saw the previous review in regards to the two sitting chairs to watch television I do have agree I tried to sit down to relax but the chairs were not comfortable moved to the bed thankfully the tv is nicely equipped with articulating TV wall mount. The hot tub was down for service on the evening we made the reservation but Blackstone B&B emailed right away to let us know and offer to cancel our reservation and provide a full refund, I appreciate the quick response from the owners as it was nice to know the information well in advance, me and my partner spoke and decided that yes it was sad not to try the hot tub that we understand the circumstance and kept our reservation.
