So the pictures of blue forest lane B&B look very nice indeed. The attitudes of the owners leave a lot to be desired and honestly the food wasn't that good at all...very overrated but it was passable for a night as I planned on getting a room elsewhere the next day. 20 minutes after lights out as I was falling asleep I felt several stinging bites....bedbugs. I immediately got up and left and threw all my clothing in the garbage as BB can hitchhike on your luggage...best avoided in my opinion.The rooms smelt musky and had a fair amount of dust throughout

Bedbugs,coach roaches and subpar food...do yourself a favor and skip this place

We recently returned from our east coast vacation. What a beautiful holiday. Even though we ended the last few days hunkered down thru Fiona.

We were so fortunate to start our holiday by staying at Blue Forest Lane. Brent and his wife were absolutely amazing from the time we walked in until we left. Our room was the garden room. HUGE. They have kept the ambience of the home, beautiful.
Brent was a host to the nth degrees, always made sure his guests were comfortable at the breakfast table , chatting and sharing their holiday experiences. Then off to the kitchen to present us with fabulous breakfasts.
Thank you for starting our vacation with the feeling of welcome and warmth.
Note: take a leisurely walk thru the garden- gorgeous

Hidden Gem

My wife and I stayed for two nights during our honeymoon. We had long days planned, and savoring Brent's breakfasts was the perfect way to begin them. In the evenings we enjoyed listening to Wanda and Brent share about the home and their life here. A lovely time all around - I'd absolutely stay here again.

Lovely place to unwind

Staying at the Blue Forest Lane B & B raised the B & B bar for me. This is a beautifully maintained home and property nestled in a woodsy back drop. Welcoming hosts and delicious breakfasts. Although a distance from Halifax, worth exploring this lovely area.

My husband and I escaped for the weekend. Wanda and Brent are lovely ! Their home is spectacular. It’s very clear they’ve poured their creatively and hearts into their home and business. The breakfasts are made with quality ingredients, are cooked to perfection and have a culinary flare. The bed in the Garden Suite was super comply. We woke to the peaceful quiet forest with the smell of freshly brewed coffee and bacon. The hosts are incredibly respectful of privacy, needs and pandemic concerns. 

  This is by far the best B & B experience we’ve had and highly recommend this little oasis.

Quality, beautiful and elegant B & B

Brent and Wanda are amazing hosts and their home and yard is very lovely. They made us feel very at home and spent lots of time chatting with us about Nova Scotia and beyond. We stayed in the cottage room; it was spacious, beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing. We will certainly stay here again if the chance comes along.

Enjoyed everything about this B&B including the art by the hostess of the establishment.  Good bed and bathroom and the breakfast was exceptional including the company of the host.  A beautiful secluded area surrounded by woods.

Interesting Art

Blue Forest Lane is a gem in Halifax with great convenient location.  It is a lovely house (with private parking) in a beautiful garden with forest at the back of the property.  We arrived late at night, our hosts Brent and Wanda were up to greet us.  Brent provided us useful suggestions daily on "What to do".  Our Room (with a large en-suite bathroom) faces the lovely garden and is elegant, warm, spacious and comfortable.  The house is beautifully decorated by our hosts who are both artists.  We looked forward to our amazing breakfasts every morning (personally prepared by our hosts ) and are different every day.  It is a joy to stay at Blue Forest Lane in Halifax and we definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful Property with Amazing Breakfasts

The grounds and the house were so very pretty and well taken care of.  Travelled with my mom and we loved our room with the claw foot bathtub and daybed!  Our hosts had great suggestions for local restaurants and things to do.  Breakfast was beautiful (but not filling; 1 fruit filled crepe, 2 pieces of bacon.  2 crepes or the addition of a side of eggs would make it more substantial).  The day bed worked great for 2 people who don’t want to be in the same bed.  The mattress needs to be rotated and/or flipped monthly as it has a groove in the middle. Otherwise the place was lovely and we would definitely come back if in the area.

Gorgeous

We had a wonderful stay here, the room was large and well presented, clean bedding and great claw tub in the very large bathroom. The owners were very accommodating and the food they served at breakfast was excellent. Very happy to recommend this B&B!
