We had an excellent time. The facility is a great location and the staff was very helpful. Our stay was quiet and comfortable, exactly what we were looking for.  Lots of shared space in the downstairs giving the place a great atmosphere but with private comfortable rooms.

Hotel Rooms with Hostel Vibes

Lovely looking place but in the industrial side of town.  However it is an easy walk right into town along the river road which isn't unpleasant .  The rooms were a good size for a family of 4, but boy was it noisy.  Kids in the next room shouting running up and down stairs, screaming from 6 am was a real treat.  Soundproofing is definitely non existent so bring ear plugs.  A comfortable nights sleep but breakfast was very poor.  if there is an option not to have breakfast, just book a bed and have breakfast in town. Pretty average and passable if you just need a bed for the night.

OK but basic and noisy rooms

I stayed in the dorm for a night last week while travelling from kelowna to Regina. Lovely dorms, clean bathrooms, nice staff. Would recommend staying there! I felt safe and had a great night of sleep.

So Clean !

The bathrooms were clean, there was area to sit and chill both inside and outside, breakfast was included in the price. The river was close, which was nice for an evening walk and several day activities.
However, the kitchen facilities were not super good to cook yourself, no clean kitchen towels or detergent was available. The rooms were not sound proof. 

Not too expensive hostel with breakfast 

the room was just ok for what we paid for . But the breakfast was horrible! We went down at 9:30 am and only left with cereals and few bread.. there’s no hot breakfast whatsoever and the lady was cleaning up the breakfast area before 10 while we still eating there! I will never stay here again!

Stingy breakfast

This is a stunning building built of Douglas Fir logs - only 13 years old. There are spacious lounges with comfortable arm chairs and large windows with views of the mountains. We three stayed in a 6 bed dorm room but there was no one else in it. The bathrooms were clean and had a good supply of free soaps/shampoos etc. Breakfast was included. It was a fairly standard continental breakfast. It is on the outskirts of Golden but it is a short walk along the river in to the centre. There is also a good cafe just around the corner.

Beautiful lodge with space and friendliness

This "lodge" would be OK if it was in the woods but it's in the middle of an industrial area. The view from our room was of a bunch of ramshackle housing and dirt and a car wash!  This was $188?  WTF?  The Room had a queen bed which took up most of the room and a loft with two singles.  The furniture was pretty cheap pine and you have no where to hang out.  The WIFI is a joke!  Barely even works in the lobby where everyone ends up trying to communicate with the world.  Remember when you had to watch websites and photos scroll down by the line.....welcome back to 1990.  The bed itself was comfy but the walls were paper thin.  Wife was woken up by a couple having sex across the hall and snoring next door.  There is nothing around so you have to drive to get dinner.
I will never stay here again and I hope you don't either.

Photographic Deception

Stayed overnight here recently and am awarding a pretty generous 3 stars.  I was driving to the coast and needed somewhere to lay my head for the night so the place served it’s purpose but this really isn’t a hotel I would be looking to do anymore than that.  

The room was ”moderately” clean and rustic with quite a lot of dust and a broken shower door.  The breakfast is some basic cereals and yoghurt.  Overall as stated it served it’s purpose for the night but is not somewhere I would ever bring my wife on a proper holiday.

Stayed for 2 nights, which was really cheap. Rooms and washrooms very clean! Lots of lounging areas. Complimentary breakfast was minimal but very nice building & nice staff! Beds were decently comfortable but bring ear plugs!

Cheap and clean

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is minimal, but there is a kitchen available for guests to use. The location is very convenient, close to access and is a short walk from downtown/restaurants. Has great common areas including a patio with beautiful views. Would definitely stay here again.
