This is a budget motel, which is why we chose it. Rooms are super dated, spots even look unclean, but it was ok for the night. 
The outdoor pool was fun for the kids, hot tub is hot, sauna is warm. 
Rooms need more towels, no pool towels are available down by the pool. 
Wifi is spotty at best. 
It worked fine for the night, but not sure I’d stay any longer. 
There is a brewery across the street and a cannabis store close to the brewery, bowling lounge the other way down the street - for fun stuff nearby.

The dirties motel
I have ever been in !! Toilet was leaking all  over the bathroom floor. Cleaned it up and the towel  was black! Dirty heat register's, door handles were sticky. Bathtub wasn't clean . They told us we were late coming so no discount and they couldn’t   move us . Disgusting !! 

Would never recommend This Motel! They charged 40.00  for the  dog and he was the  cleanest thing in the room

I wished I had looked up these reviews before we selected this dump; sadly, they are all true. Too many red flags appeared even before we entered the room. Red Flag #1: We heard a lady complaining about the “extra” charges on her bill when she was checking out. Red Flag #2: Upon walking up to the room which was a main street access; the door was open. This immediately worried me because of safety reasons and vermin entering the room (bugs, mice, mosquitoes, flies, etc.). Red Flag #3 to 100: We noted the sad state of the room immediately; dirty old couch, dirty top blanket, blood stains on it which I didn’t notice until morning. Lampshade torn by bed, fridge freezer had dirt and food frozen. We had ice packs in there so I didn’t worry. Couldn’t open the bathroom window because the screen was ripped and the mosquitos were getting in. Went for dinner and came back and had trouble opening the door with the key without jiggling the lock to get in (security issues?). The “air conditioner” was filthy and knobs were broken and falling off. Woke up with a sore throat due to the poor air quality. Also had bite marks on my body (bed bugs??). When we were leaving the lady that worked there told us to leave the door open??? My advice is to avoid this place completely or if you have no choice; check the room before paying and take pictures of anything that is not in good working order. The management will probably hold you accountable for paying for the repairs. The only good thing I have to say about this horrible; unsafe and dirty property is that Steven Spielberg could use this set for his next murder mystery!

Mary's is a Monstrosity!

My husband, 3.childern and I stayed at Mary's Motel in Golden for one night on our way to Calgary. It was filthy, not sure any hygene at all is practiced there.
We arrived late and left early, I would have requested a new room but no one was at the front desk. We were exhausted so we went to bed but it was the dirtiest hotel room I have ever seen.
I paid $196 and even after showing them these photos, they only reimbursed me $20.
There was garbage in the ice bin, snot on the sheets, dirty glasses on the counter and the bathroom was disgusting.  There was hair all over it so I wiped it with a damp tissue- see photo.
This place is raunchy.

Filthy and gross

Not a lot of rooms in town at a decent rate. Cell service very poor in town so unable to check rating. If I had been able to check I would NEVER have booked this motel.
This motel was VERY POOR condition for the price of 147 + tax. 
Very small TV, only 1 plug working, older sofa and chair, lamps, microwave had only one setting that worked. Only one bath towel in the room. 
Stay here only as last resort.

Won’t stay here again

This used to be one of my favourite Ma and Pa motels. I suspect it has been sold. Heatwave in Revelstoke and although the air conditioner was on high for the night, it appears to have never been serviced in forever. My husband took off the cover and it was filthy with years of dust accumulation. 
The pillows were flatter then any I have ever seen. 
This hotel needs an investment and they were booked solid so it’s not a matter of no money in so no money out. I guess I will have to stay in one of the newer chain hotels up the hill in the future.

Needs some investment

Would rate less then 1 star if I could. I don’t expect much from a cheap motel but WOW. Hair still in the shower from last guest food still in fridge also. Somehow even with all the doors and windows closed mosquitoes still get in. Room stinks, is filthy, couch and bed stained with I don’t wanna know what. Ended up getting my air mattress ad blankets from my car and sleeping on them. Guy behind the counter was rude. If this is your only option for a hotel in Golden (as it was mine) save yourself the money and sleep in your car.

Should have slept in the car

It was a last minute Friday trip and we needed somewhere to stay either revelstoke or golden. As i started looking online at hotel reservations every hotel was saying they were booked up. Before giving up on golden and trying revelstoke i called Mary’s motel and the had rooms. The tv was small with like 5 channels. The shower needed updating, the bedding seemed dirty and had burn holes in a few blankets. The heater worked good. I was surprised they were pet friendly. We paid $108 for 1 night and we checked in around 10pm. The room had new flooring, old exposed brick paint walls, thin walls between rooms, a big closet, 2 queen size beds. I wasn’t expecting much and while it had its downfalls i am ok with what we paid and what we got.

Only place with rooms!

They asked standard or deluxe.  What does deluxe mean?  It's modernand up to date.  OK we'll payyheextra 10.  The key to our unmade room.  We went back and were sent to a rundown room.  Not enough coffee or towels.  Never again.

Keep going.  Do not stop

I wish we would have found another place to stay on our way through town. There were spills on the bathroom floor (not stains, so the floor hadn’t been cleaned but also looked like they had been there awhile), there were an assortment of hairs in various places around the room, the air conditioning would randomly stop working and the room smelled ‘off’. I’m sad to say we also spent just under $200 for the night. The one good thing was that the man who checked us in was very friendly.
