This hotel has very friendly staff that was very accommodating. They went above board to check us in and show us all about the rooms. Older style hotel but was very clean and comfortable. Prices were great.

Friendly and Clean

Stopped due to highwy closure, checked in & taken to very clean well appointed room, police pulled in to advise road reopened, owner volunteered to reverse what was a very reasonable charge and I was back on my way. Terrific customer service. Will stop here in future.

Very nice people.

Beds are very comfortable, the staff members are extremely friendly (both of whom offered to drive into town to pick up food for us), well-stocked convenience store attached to the building, super tidy rooms and a very clean bathroom. Would absolutely recommend to anyone passing through!

Best motel I've ever been to!

Had a one night stay at this recommended place and wasn’t disappointed. The room was clean, the bed kinda comfy and priced reasonably. We only needed a bed after New Years Eve events and this worked out well for us. Would recommend this place to anyone. 

Clean and comfy

Stayed here for a work trip while working in Grand forks.Quiet place and a very friendly happy manager.He offered to shuttle me to the local restaurant as construction had taken up lots of parking spots.Room was clean and had a nice big tv and fridge.Bit of dated decor but still a great nights sleep was had.

Good value

My friend and I stay in this motel last week. It was very clean, quiet. We were both very pleasantly surprised by the little things. There was bottles of water in the fridge and some really nice smelling soap, and shampoo. Bathroom was a very nice size, with a full size bathtub. There was also both tea, and coffee in the room. 
It far exceeded our expectations, especially for the very reasonable price. 
The young man in the office when we checked in was very nice, too. Greeted us with a smile.

Very nice motel

In town for 2 nights visiting a friend and we decided to stay at the Evening Star. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable bed and a nice hot shower. There is a full kitchen if you want to use it as well. The motel is right beside Hwy 3 but the vehicle noise was not that bad. Enjoyed our stay.

Clean and comfortable room

The quality of the water really made a difference here. clean unit facing onto a back alleyway for fresh air at night. Just off the highway but normal drone of traffic - very peaceful. Chairs outside the units, a little gathering of chairs on the lawn where we gathered in the morning.  the only odd thing was the bathroom - seemed to be made for very small children - the toilet and sink were so low to the ground it was a little different using them!  We had a one bedroom with bed out in main area so three people could sleep in the one unit with ease.

Friendly staff, fresh air - clean rooms

Stayed for a few nights recently. Overall it's a good place to rest. It's an older motel, but they've spent money and time to keep it clean and as modern as possible. Motel is near the highway but room doors are well insulated so noise is greatly reduced. Clean rooms modern bathrooms. The rooms I was in had huge flat screen tv with plenty of channels and decent wifi. If possible request rooms 12, 11 or 10...the hot water gets there fast. On site store for chips, pop etc.If you're looking for inexpensive, quiet, clean and friendly....you'll won't be disappointed at Evening Star Motel.

Easy access from Hwy 3

We booked a night really late and was met by a serviceminded receptionist which showed me the area on a map. 
The room was clean and the beds were Big and comfortable. Cheap pricing., i would recommend this place for a night or more.
