Very courteous gentleman at the reception desk.  Breakfast started at 8am, however, this was much too late as I had to get going on my adventure back to Toronto.  As well, motel reception was not a 24-hour service - this was not ideal.  The room had all the necessities, however, upon entering my room I was greeted with an extremely cold room.  Overall experience was better than average.

Decent experience, simple improvements would make a BIG difference!

We booked this hotel using the motel site with help from the owners, who were very helpful with this. When we arrived, for a 3-day stay, we had to pay the entire amount.
The room was gloomy and old and very tiny but it was clean. The toilet seat was loose and difficult to sit on it. They did supply minuscule bars of soap which disintegrated upon using it twice.
We went for a coffee the next morning which was very good. There is no restaurant where to have your breakfast so you have to eat it in your room. But the room has only 1 coffee table, an couch and a desk with 1 chair. Thus not much place to eat. 
  After our first cup of coffee, we went to get a second cup of coffee, which she would not give us. She scolded us and told to make our own with the supplied coffee in the room. I have been to a lot of hotels and motels in my life and this is very first time that a cup of coffee was refused. She was very rude.
     We then left for the day to visit relatives in the area. To our dismay, upon our return, our room had not been made, the towels and soap were not renewed. I went to the office but it was closed, it was only 9pm
     We spent the night in our room but the next morning I checked us out a day early. When I told him the room had not been done, he politely told me that since COVID 19 we had to call to get the room done, and that this was written in the room. We had not seen this but we should have been warned about this upon checking. In. Furthermore, they refused to refund our our third night at the motel. But we left nevertheless because my wife refused to spend another night in that place.
We left and got a beautiful room in another place for the same price.


Worst motel ever stayed in

Quaint motel overlooking the lake.  Room was clean.  Owners were friendly.  We enjoyed our stay.  Location was great, close to downtown Haileybury as well as surrounding communities.  Perfect location for a weekend getaway.  Breakfast was included.  Need to add some variety in the daily offering.  

Perfect motel to enjoy the sunrise and a day at the beach.  

This Motel has the most awesome location in Timiskaming Shores. Right next to the water and I must say that I have not had such a peaceful sleep anywhere except for my own bed. The morning sunrise is amazing and the best thing about this motel is that it's pet friendly. Right next to the motel is the swimming area managed by the city. Ridge who manages this motel is very polite and friendly. This was our second time coming to this motel and we will keep coming back because we love to travel and experience the outdoors with our beloved pet.

Excellent Service

Beautiful location.  This place has everything you need for a relaxing stay.  The staff are terrific.  Left something behind by accident.  They called me to ask what I wanted them to do with it.  I asked for it to be mailed COD.  They obliged without hesitation.  THAT IS SERVICE.  Highly recommended

Great place terrific staff

This may not be the Hilton hotel, but the sunrise on the water sure makes up for it. The family who runs the hotel are amazing and very accommodating.  Although it was mid April when I arrived I will definitely be back this summer.

Beautiful place

Stayed for 2 nights at this Motel and the experience was amazing. The Motel faces the water and the most amazing feature is the view from the room. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Restaurants, LCBO is close by. This place scores on all counts of Price, Comfort and Location.

Great Stay!

The owners of the motel are very accommodating.  We have stayed at their motel on three separate occasions for motorcycle tours of northern Ontario.  The motel is directly across the street from the marina and beach.  We have always walked to pick up dinner a block away, to return and eat outside the motel enjoying the view.  There is a bbq and a large seating area off to the side for guests to use.   
The rooms are clean, and comfortable.  A little dated, but for weekend trips we would say good value.  Will be returning.

Good value, great location

A really delightful motel, located directly in front of the marina / beach in Hailebury.

Very clean, and fully modernized, with fast Wi-Fi, USB charging ports, fridge, microwave, flat-screen TV, etc.  Very friendly and helpful owners.

I highly recommend this motel - wish all motels were like this.

Clean, quiet modern, friendly - an Excellent motel!

There was only one "small" room left when we arrived.  Larger than some rooms at the Royal York in Toronto.  Perfectly appointed and scrupulously clean.  No extra charge for our dog and a pleasant surprise when the owner served a cooked breakfast included in the price of $75.  The best motel we have ever visited in all our cross Canada and USA road trips.  Cannot say enough about how amazing our stay was.
