Great hotel, good price. Kitchenette well equipped. Open for late check ins— which is really good considering the Park Inn a block away is not. The front desk guy at HCC motel was very nice. Very close to a few lot a electric vehicle charging options! Great coffee shop just a block away. 

Recommended stay

This place was fantastic. No, it’s not a 5-star property - duh, it’s a motel! But our stay was great from start to finish. First, something went wrong with our online booking, and when I went to check in she couldn’t find us. Was she rude? Nope. Did she give us a hard time? Not at all. She took responsibility for the problem (even though it might have been our fault and I didn’t have my confirmation number). She laughed like it was no big deal, looked at what she had available, asked if we remembered the price we were offered so she could match it... we ended up with a slightly upgrade king-bed room for hardly any more money and I felt great, instead of worried and inconvenienced. 

The room itself was spacious and well-laid out with a comfortable (a bit soft for my taste but probably just right for most people) bed and a couch for lounging. Their wifi signal is better than I’ve had in some high end resorts! The AC worked (a bit noisy; we turned it off at bedtime). Yes, it’s a bit old, but it’s clean and in good repair. They’ve made efforts to address the shortages related to age (e.g. not enough outlets -  they have power bars!, no closet space; they added hanger bars). 

There were a few bits and bobs missing (e.g. we had coffee and tea but no spoon) but on the whole this was a great place to stop for the night, and VERY affordable. We’ll be making this our go-to place when we head into the mountains from now on.

Homey and Comfortable in Downtown Hope

Had a good 2 nights stay here this Summer. Staff were friendly, room was nice and a good size, beds were clean and comfortable, TV and Fridge worked well, and shower was fine. Felt like I got a decent bargain for my money. The place was full for the weekend. 

Great location near Hope Memorial Park, the Blue Moose Café, grocery store, and walking distance to lots of places to eat. I’d stay here again if I was visiting Hope or needed a place to crash for the night.

Air conditioner was old-looking and noisy, but it worked and that’s what matters. 

Sadly the wooden Bear statues in the pictures were no longer out front. 


Thumbs up, would visit again.

I stayed over in Hope after a 12 hour drive, and stoped at the first motel I found. The price was right (about $80 CAD I think). The clerk was friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was a little springy but still very comfortable. With the COVID crisis I will be driving to Vancouver Island (rather than flying) many more times, and I will make this motel a regular overnight stop. Great value!

Comfortable, clean, affordable. I will stay there again.

This is one of the cheapest motels in Hope and it does show. It is reasonable enough but shows sign of wear. The bed are comfortable enough and the rooms seem clean. The biggest criticism I have is that the refrigerator provided was so noisy that we had to unplug it to get some sleep.

OK but not great

We were 3 couples and shared 2 units as there is two bedrooms in each unit. Great location and very clean. 
Also has utensils and plates, etc. And there is $6.95 breakfast just down the street called Sharon's dinner. I would recommend this place!

Don't let the 
Motel sign discourage you from staying here.

Think 1960's motel and you'll be in the retro mood.  I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the bed was, the room was well heated for the frigid temps, and the room/bathroom were clean.  That said there is some peeling paint and older furniture.  But the price was definitely worth it.  Next door to a grocery store and across the street from a dollar store for any needed supplies.  The manager highly recommended the Home restaurant which is a short drive away. We dined there for dinner and breakfast and both service and food was excellent.

Clean, comfortable and warm.

Lets start by saying this place isn't the Hilton, but you're not paying Hilton prices to stay here either! Buildings are dated but the owners have taken the time to do some renovations on the rooms. We had a room with two queen sized beds that was surprisingly spacious. The AC unit in our room was new and kept the room nice and cool despite the outside heat and humidity. Rooms were quiet (our apologies to anyone if they heard our kids!) and clean. Bathrooms could have used a little more TLC in their renovations but it's not where we spent the majority of our time. Beds were clean and comfortable. 

Only fault I'd find is the provided WiFi connection was sketchy at best. In this day and age, staying connected or looking up local attractions and food via the internet is a must have. I'd suggest for them some signal boosters to help out with this problem. 

For the amount of times we've traveled past Hope, this is our first stay in the area. We'd certainly consider staying here again for any other trips out this way.

Nice place in the centre of Hope.

Travelling North we needed somewhere to stay on route. Hope City Centre Motel was the cheapest I could find that met our needs. The Motel was central and provided the facilities we needed. I was not expecting luxury, just somewhere to sleep for the night. I got what I wanted. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room clean and tidy. I could not ask for more, considering the price.

Just right for our needs

I was disappointed to find the room was not clean. There was a fingernail on the sink and the cabinets and kitchen items have not been cleaned in a long time.  In normal times, I would forgive the dirty kitchen. It looks like nobody had used the dishes or appliances in years.  They claim the check in/check out hours are reduced because they are cleaning more due to Covid 19, but our room was definitely not cleaned up to standard.
The furnishings are rustic which didn't bother me. The train goes thru town frequently so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.  It was okay for a one night stay, but there are a lot of motels in Hope so I will look elsewhere next time.
