Heritage Inn motel is ok.  It’s right on the Main Street. A lot of fast food and restaurants within walking distance.  Many other amenities also within walking distance.  Unfortunately not a lot of parking available and the rooms are very dated.   We stayed in the “family” suite.  The common area was very large and spacious and offered two queen beds. The room also had a small full kitchen and very tight, but full bathroom.   It was clean and quite.  Nice little motel when you need a rest.

Why I would stay here:
-Best sleep away from home.  Bed (mattress) had great support.  Extremely comfortable.  Not just the one night (could be fluke) but for every night we were there.
-Towels were soft/fluffy (not too thick, not too thin - just right) and there were plenty (in other places, we usually have to ask for an extra set) for our family of 3
-Friendly, efficient check in

What I didn't like:
Minor negatives - noisy AC; cobwebs in the ceiling corner; Hope Princeton is still a main hwy - be prepared for traffic all night long.

As a non smoker, the main negative is while all rooms are non-smoking, there are chairs and pails with sand outside each room.  We were on the second floor with chain smokers for neighbours.  If any of your neighbours smoke (next to you or on the first floor), you will share the smoke.

If you are a smoker - very comfortable and I guess convenient unless it's in the dead of winter.

Maybe they've tried this already but it might be better to have the single level unit as non smoking and the 2 level building as smoking.

Despite the smoking - I'd recommend and stay here again.


Good Option

Quite disappointed with maintenance, cleanliness and WIFI.  We did our research and reviews and ratings were good so we reserved.   Signage indicating $200 fine for smoking in the room.  So... they put plastic chairs and a bucket outside the room for smokers.  Lucky us, the neighbour chain smoked outside our door.  We couldn't open the window.  Mind you, there were no window screens anyhow.  Pillows were old and flat.  Lots of maintenance to be done and housekeeping wasn't great.  See attached pictures.

Had phoned to insure there was a room. Was told there was, for cash. I explained we were in town for ‘end of life’ of my father in-law. We arrive and immediately he was unhappy we didn’t have cash but a credit card. Then he wanted to know how many beds, I said it didn’t matter we were married, so one or two. This upset him and he said he didn’t want us to stay there!!! He said to go across the street as he wouldn’t rent us a room! We were already dealing with enough but this was extremely upsetting!!! You sir are a homophobic!!!

Homophobic

The individual claiming to be manager, is HOMOPHOBIC, verbal assault by means of inappropriate personal questioning  before refusing to rent a room. Unbelievable conduct in this day and age. My sister and her wife are absolutely bent. Not hurt by his self righteous arrogance.  Karma gets around. He has just cost the business all my Alberta Contacts likely their friends and of course my sister's contact group. When they called me I found a different place. As I see previous reviews here. From first glance close inspection from walk around the property the other reviews carry weight. Avoid this place! A minimalist cash cow, in my opinion. Not serious about a quality service best interests. (As of this date in time I say this is accurate to our experience).

A homophobic manager.

Well..... The air-conditioning  sucked. No pool, no breakfast  as posted, ice machine Broken, no parking stalls was told to park wherever but there was no spots big enough to park stalls  were narrow.  Keys don't work. Had to get owner to help at 1am. Bathroom floor very cracked. Shady.....

Lame

Pictures are worth a 1000 words so I took some. This place has seen better days and I believe it caters to a lot of works. The window had no screen and the lock was taped open. As a person travelling alone this was alarming to say the least. The mattresses are holding out well for there age guessing bought in the 70's?

Beat up

The room was dated and beat up, very stuffy,  but pretty clean and didn’t smell bad. Short wait for room past check in time. Wifi is not consistent enough to be useful. Groceries and restaurants close by.

Unplanned stay in hope

Made a reservation. Paid, for the reservation.  Showed up to the motel to find that my reservation failed to reserve a room.  I thought making a reservation, and paying for the reservation before you show up, meant you are holding, or 'reserving a room'.  I thought that meant nobody else can take that room.  Unless the a room or two were burnt, then I could see maybe the rooms to reservation ratio to be off. I did an investigation from outside and saw no signs of fire. Which left me very confused.  Was I in a Seinfield episode? Apparently Heritage Motel knows how to 'take' a reservation, but they don't know how to 'hold' the reservation, and that is the most important part. The 'holding'.

'Most important part of the reservation is the holding' - Seinfield.

When u book a room here the tell u there is a breakfast however booked and when u arrive told then no breakfast.  I feel that if they advertise breakfast than they should give u a meal somewhere else and room was just ok for price
