Elsie , our host was lovely and accommodating.  We had the ensuite room which had all the amenities we needed-wine glasses, tv, shampoo, creams, hairdryer etc.  The hosts were there if you needed ice for example but were very much in the background of your stay so it felt like your own place.  The shower was wonderful and the bed very comfortable;  All things we look for in accommodation.  The location was only 10 mins away from Arrowhead Provincial Park where we skated and went snowshoeing.  We went on a dog sled adventure at Northridge Ranch which was only 20 mins away as well.  Now to the breakfasts - definitely the best part.  We had Eggs Benedict, heritage pancakes and quiche with all the “fixins”.    Elsie also provided us with “Rolo” hot chocolate to take with us for our winter adventure.

Definitely recommend this B & B

Elsie, the host, was incredibly sweet and welcoming, explaining to us how she worked. We arrived quite late, but she told us the code to the door so we could always come in even after she locked up.
We had an amazing (and different!) breakfast every day, which was a lovely surprise to wake up to. Elsie cooks amazing breakfast, with fruit and yoghurt as well as a hot plate. Do consider that she cooks what she feels like, so if there are things you don't like, tell her when checking in.
 The room was clean and tidy, there was coffee, the bathroom was private (though seperate) and had every possible facility. 
We loved our stay here, and would love to come back one day!

Amazing

This is a very clean and cozy B&B...however, we arrived a couple of hours early and our reception from the owner was less than welcoming ...and it remained that way until the last morning as we were leaving.  We were told shortly after arrival that the owner would prefer we pay in cash...this was also very offputting. We had the bedroom that had a private bath outside of the room which was not a problem.  However, if you had to go to the bathroom during the night, the hall light automatically came on and it was VERY bright on the eyes.  A simple night light would have sufficed to light the way to the bathroom.  Also, in the morning, we could easily hear everything that was going on in the kitchen for breakfast preparation, as the kitchen was on the other side of the wall.  Breakfast was excellent, the bed was comfortable and the room very clean.  Also, when we left, we were offered water and cookies, which we really appreciated for the days drive ahead of us.

Could have been a better experience

Very reasonably priced...nice amenities, fantastic Ensuite bath, bed very comfortable, quality bedding and towels and a tasty complete breakfast in the dining room....
Interesting quality pictures taken by B and B owner as well as photographic antiques and collectibles throughout the home....
Very friendly pet dog....just like home!
Great value overall.....

Very cozy B and B, close to downtown and Park....lots to do and see in area!!

Excellent, homey and cozy B&B with a very nice host (and her dog!). Our room and bathroom was very clean and private. Breakfast was delicious. Very close to downtown Huntsville. 

The few negatives are that our bed was too soft and the room got very hot if you didn't turn on the fan. 

Overall, I would recommend this B&B!
