This is a simple but very nice place overlooking Ingonish Harbor.  The rooms are not fancy but nice and the ones looking out over the water have wonderful views.  The carpet is new and the upholstery on the sleeper sofa is clean. The breakfast is pretty darned good for the remoteness of the Inn’s location.   Fresh fruit and real scrambled eggs and bacon.   The breakfast area has a large deck and windows that look out over water.  The restaurant is closed for dinners - staffing issues prevail throughout Cape Breton.  Access to the National Park is excellent.

Very nice B & B

Although the rooms aren’t fancy, the bed is very comfortable, there is everything you need and the view from the deck is beautiful. The best part of this charming place is Kim, the owner. She made the best breakfast we had on our whole trip and was very knowledgeable and helpful as we planned our trip around Cabot Trail. Because we weren’t there in high season, the dining room wasn’t open for dinner but the dining room looked lovely.

Kim is a great host

What an amazing place! from the moment I walked in I was so comfortable, I kept needing to remind myself that this was a hotel. So warm and inviting. The view was breathtaking and so peaceful. Kim was an amazing host and so accommodating. Constantly making sure everything was ok, and we were comfortable. The breakfast each morning was delicious and while we did not get a chance to have dinner there, the smell was amazing. If someone was not sure what to do that day, Kim had a list ready to go and offered a call to coordinate times and tickets. There was a couple that had no car and she drove them herself. I am trying to plan my trip there next year!

Simply Beautiful!

I've stayed here so many times. Kim is amazing. The place is better every time I'm here. I love this place. Food is great. Feels like family when your here.. Dogs are welcome.. And I think we can
 Agree, if you allow dogs your probably awesome.. And she is awesome.

Best view on the trail

My wife & I stayed at this beautiful Inn which was our best stay so far on our Cabot Trail adventure. Staff was very friendly, breakfast & our dinner was delicious. Room was very clean & spacious, the view was like no other place we have stayed and the fall colors were amazing. We will definately be coming back & highly recommend staying here.

Great stay, excellent meals with welcoming staff

We stayed here for two nights and did not want to leave. The staff was very informative and helpful & nothing tops enjoying fine meals over looking the spectacular view here. We will definitely be back.

Amazing food on a beautiful setting

We loved our stay here. Staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was up a flight of stairs but that was okay for us. We loved the accent wall of pine panelling, the large sofa which we swung around enough to enjoy the ocean view beyond the stunning autumn colours. The bathroom was not large but clean and functional (nicely colour coordinated).  We enjoyed the limited edition art in the room featuring local ocean scenes. Breakfast was very good, and very few hotels with breakfast included have such amazing views. Sometimes the decor of country inns can be a bit on the feminine side, but this nice unpretentious  inn has a great mix of masculine and feminine style. The rooms with a view are worth the price!

An adorable country inn - our clean charming room had the most amazing view

A lovely, friendly and welcoming small hotel.  The room was very comfortable albeit that the trimmings are a bit dated (but well kept). Breakfast was awesome with a great selection, and what an amazing setting to stay in! Good value - worth considering.

Simple and Splendid

We had only one night at this lovely Inn during our road trip in June.   Our room was basic, very cozy, but clean.   The bed was comfy, and the included breakfast the next morning was spectacular.   Every staff member we spoke with was friendly and had helpful tips on how to best enjoy our visit.  It was unfortunate that the onsite restaurant wasn’t open for dinner, but we had a very nice recommendation from the front desk, and she did not steer us wrong.  

The only thing we can comment negatively on would be the condition of the electrical outlets.   They were all very loose, to the point that our phone chargers slowly came unplugged overnight.   I tried the outlet in the bathroom, and the ground fault fuse blew.   I guess this is to be expected in older buildings, but it was a bit frustrating.  



Nice place

This Inn is absolutely adorable and well-kept. The staff is so well mannered, informative and caring (all students and so sweet!). The view is stunning and the Inn has ample amount of parking up front. Great visit and we would definitely stay again!
