Nice little cottage near the city centre. The owner is very welcoming and friendly. She is out of the ordinary but very attentive, especially with the children. She gives a lot of information about the tours and restaurants of the small town of St. John Port Joli. The room, although a little small for four, is comfortable with a charming little balcony. The lunch is delicious and cozy. In short, a rather pleasant night away from what some excessive comments left to presage.

Nice bed held by a lovely lady

The hostess is nice but there are things to improve. Uncomfortable mattresses and cracking beds. Shower and sink in the room. Toilet between the two rooms closed by a folding door (not very intimate). No air conditioning and rooms on the second floor. It would be nice to indicate on the site that the owner smokes on the premises and has a cat for people allergic or intolerant to cigarettes. Summary lunch. The advantage is that the hostel is close to all activities and restaurants. You can do everything on foot.

Be content with a little

I'm smoking a cat's own cluttered pool. I'm grinding bed for breakfast beurk!!!! I'm not baking sauces. I'm drinking a glass of juice.

What to Avoid

Unfortunately, the landlady Francine was smoking on the balcony, smells and smoke were coming through the mosquito nets, my lungs were pounding, and she was breaking the law that says smoke must be within nine yards of a commercial building, but the cottage is well placed and the rooms are clean.

He deserves two stars for smoking.

Francine has a character but she is very nice. The room was very nice with a very clean shower. Indeed, after a certain hour she may be a little tired: she is very good advice. The hostel is very well located, opposite the nice harbour.

A lady of character like the hostel

Of our 11 B&B trip through Quebec/New Brunswick and PEI this is the worst we had.
I have to be hones, it was clean, but the owner is a smoker and the room did smell. Although she smokes outside, you get the smell in the rooms.
Breakfast was just plain.
It is unfortunate as it is well located, but I was not impressed. Although Non Smoking signs are in the rooms, it was not fair from the owner not to tell guest on her website about her smoking habits.
I should have read previous comments in Trip Advisor about that place, they said the same thing and I would have not reserved there.

Non smoker do not rent.

We stayed here for 1 night during our way back to Montreal. Two adults and two kids, 1) we have been requested total settlement by cash on arrival and not on check out because the owner said she had not time in the morning 2) the swimming pool was absolutely not heated as specified in the web site 3) breakfast was very poor: we got more to eat with far less money in other hotels: no free refill juices; my daughter received one slice of bread only (not two) because the other guests ate it all - why not going to the market and buy some more in advance? We ended up in paying some additional breakfast during the morning for the kids 4) shower did'nt work properly 5) wi-fi very weak signal.  A general sense of decadence all around the house and garden. It's really a pity considering the nice place and location it could have been far better and above all it is too expensive compared to the offered services. I would not recommend it.
