This hotel is perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was practically brand new (unit 42). The LG split AC worked flawlessly as it was warm during my visit. The owners are renovating units throughout the property to make them comfortable year-round (-40 to +40 C), and they did not cut corners. A beautiful fireplace occupied the corner, but I didn't try it out since it's summer. The faucets, fixtures (dimmable kitchen and recessed lights throughout), and materials are all high quality brands. The nightstands were very nice, and proved to be a great place to store items. My unit did include a stove, kitchen sink, pantry, and dishes for two to make your own meals, but we just drove or walked into Jasper to eat. The wall mounted TV worked great. I was even able to mirror from my iPad to stream shows at night. The bathroom sink was on the smaller side and there wasn't much counter space, but the shower and water pressure was excellent. The main office does have one clothes washer and drier. They sell detergent for $1, and can break bills into quarters for the machines. One minor piece of feedback...a full length mirror would be a nice to have for 'fit checks' before heading out.

Felt like staying at a friend's luxury guest cabin

We were in Signal Cabin 6 and it was wonderful.  I need to disclose that we were there Monday July 22nd when Jasper had an emergency evacuation due to wildfire. We had to scramble and pack up at 10pm. The young woman working at the office was outside - calm and composed - collecting keys and told us where to head (Hwy 16 to Valemount) which was critical as we had no idea what to do. I am so happy the cabins were spared from the fire.

We loved our two nights prior to the fire. The location was walkable. The cabin was well-appointed and comfortable. We were very happy and I hope when reconstruction of the town begins and visitors return to this beautiful area, that you will consider Bear Hill lodge cabins.

Highly recommend cabins

Our family of 4 (incl. 2 young adults) shared a Chalet Suite, and it was perfect! Close enough to town that we could walk to nearly all the shops and restaurants, but it had a small kitchenette so we could make quick breakfasts and lunches to pack for our days out doing activities. The grounds are absolutely charming, the beds are super comfy, the units were pristinely clean, and the patio was delightful. There is no AC, but you won't need it in the summer; we are from Texas, it was 95 in Jasper while we were there, and by leaving the windows open and the fans on, we stayed cool even during the day. I would stay here again every time I visit. Strong recommend!

Delightful chalet close to everything

We stayed in cabin #22. Cozy bed, very very clean,  great location, loved the kitchenette. Gas fireplace and AC available. Had to ask for more towels and hangers but they were delivered immediately.  Didn’t like the coffee maker but I’m a coffee enthusiast ; perhaps a nespresso machine, stove top espresso pot or a French press would have been great. 
Would definitely return as our stay was very comfortable. Loved returning at the end of the day after exploring Jasper.

Great Place!

We really enjoyed our stay in a studio cabin at Bear Hill Lodge. It was lovely, with great attention to detail and everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Staff were welcoming and the location was great. It was a nice walk into Jasper with easy access to restaurants, shops and other attractions including the local gallery.

Great place to stay

We had a wonderful stay in a cozy cabin room.  Located in a quiet area a small drive off the main highway. Very surprised to wake up and watch a small herd of elk grazing on the hill behind the cabins. They are accommodating for pets, they even supply food and water dishes for them.  Will definitely recommend to anyone, and we look forward to booking another stay.

Lucky us! They had a cabin pretty much last minute!
How cute is it?? VERY!  It’s clean +, has a fireplace, little kitchenette and did I mention so cute!  The bed is comfy, the property is quiet and well cared for.  We arrived and experienced some wonderful minutes of sunshine in the chairs outside our cabin.  Seriously- how lucky were we!  We laughed as we imagined ourselves living here!  We will be back!!

Don’t tell my partner…I told you about it!

We had booked Bear Hill Lodge approx 9 months earlier, booking a Premier Cottage for 2 nights.On arriving we found an error had been made (not the Lodges fault) and the accommodation had been booked for the month earlier! The owner/manager was brilliant and upgraded us to a stunning cabin sleeping 6 and brand new.The following night we transferred to another new,smaller,property sleeping 4.Excellent service and excellent cabins.It was so nice to have the space,lounge etc,a break from hotel rooms.

Excellent….

We must have been staying in a different cabin to the other people giving great reviews. We had a heritage cabin (#6) for a family of 4.  For ‘heritage’ read ‘old fashioned and dated’. It was tiny, very gloomy and in need of a facelift. 

We couldn’t fit our suitcases in the bedroom and still be able to walk around the bed so had to keep them in the already cramped living area. Nowhere to unpack clothes, just a small rail to hang a few items. There was space for bedside tables but none provided. No space in bathrooms to put washbags/toiletries.  Shower reasonably ok. Bed linen wasn’t ironed. Pilot light on fire all the time despite it being 20+ degrees outside leaving the cramped living space very hot. Curtains were just an unlined piece of material so light in the bedrooms very early in the mornings. 

I found sitting in our car much more relaxing than sitting in this cabin and must admit i did go and sit in the car often during our stay. Ruined our time in Jasper as we dreaded coming back to the cabin and couldn’t wait to move on to better accommodation. If i could have booked a different hotel we would have done so, but Jasper was totally booked out. 

Spend your money elsewhere or choose a more spacious and modern cabin. 

Gloomy and Tired Heritage Cabin

Very cute bungalows. Quiet and clean in a central location. Was fortunate to get a reservation give that I booked it 4 weeks out. Location is perfect for walking to downtown and even across the highway. I would definitely stay here again and for a longer time period
