Amazing people and cozy accommodations. We arrived in town late and called around for a place to stay. This was the first place that had rooms available and they welcomed us with open arms. It was late enough that the hostess called around to friends to try and get us something to eat plus opened their little store so we could get drinks. I would absolutely stay here again if I am passing through.

Amazing experience

This is a great place to stay in Kaslo, as it reflects the ambience and history of the area. All the modern amenities, lots of room, a bedroom separate from the main suite, and nice n clean. In a historic old home. Amazing!
The hostess was sensitive to my Scent-based allergies and checked with me to make sure all was well. It was! Loved it that we could have our non-shedding dog with us on this trip.
Nice to be,up on the hill above town, walkable.

Reading the other revokes prior to being guests was helpful. We enjoyed everything about the place. Hope to return with more family as that penthouse can sleep 7.  Very affordable.

It was all I imagined it would be...and more!

Hostess was very friendly and accommodating. Place itself is old but this was not an issue for us, we found it cozy. Kitchen very usable and easy to make meals in. We would definitely stay again.

Great location for walking around Kaslo.

Most of all we appreciated a place where we were welcome to bring our pup!

Eclectic & Lovely

We stayed 3 nights in the Garden Cottage just outside the main lodge. It has two bedrooms, each with a double bed and lounge seating, a small kitchen containing almost everything you need for self catering and a single bathroom. You also have access to a back garden with a table and some chairs but the outside space would probably benefit from a little more care. It's not luxurious but is clean and comfortable, perfect for a family.

Comfortable and convenient place in Kaslo

The accommodation could have been great.  It was as pictured on the website and the layout was fine.  The private balcony was lovely.  However, it wasn't clean and the sheets and pillows seemed to be reaching the end of a very long life.  I have hesitated to complete this review for obvious reasons but I know that I depend on reviews when selecting places to stay and so must others. 

We would not stay here again.

Mature couple, stayed in the upstairs suite for three nights.
This is an old building, well refurbished. But, of course, the original narrow stairways are still there as is the original layout of the rooms, including unanticipated steps from the hallway to the adjoining rooms.
It is not a hotel in the sense that staff will do the beds or provide fresh towels every day, however, a sufficient supply of towels is provided on check-in.
The hosts are very accommodating and knowledgeable of local events and activities.
Not exactly cheap, but - then - rooms in Kaslo are not plentiful.
We would consider staying there again.

Quaint and comfortable

Stopped overnight in Kaslo, not much available in town, Kaslo Hotel referred us to the Manor. Very nice lady with a nice old place. We were put in an upstairs suite. Only issues here at all were the 100 year old stairs out back, and no keys, or locks really, lol. I would like to point out neither of these was an issue for us AT ALL..we could care less, but those with mobility or security issues could get cranky I guess. The room was really old and really cool, we loved it. Full 3 rooms with kitchen and bath. We inquired about staying another night, but if course it was booked. We need to stop doing this in this lovely little town...guess reservations would be good, but we keep finding these great 1 night wonders. We would definitely stay here again, maybe we'll actually call ahead next time

Nice old lodge

I first stayed here just after Christmas 2014 while on a backcountry ski trip, and ended up coming back three more times that winter.  Ern and MJ showed me hospitality like I have never seen before, inviting me to have dinner with their family and generally making me feel like a guest in the home of dear old friends.  I asked Ern for some advice about where to go skiing and he ended up going out and spending many days skiing with me over the winter, showing me the best terrain and intriducing me to other skiers in town.  I had such a positive experience I decided to build a home in Kaslo - how is that for an endorsement?  Ern and MJ are the best - I highly recommend the Kaslo Manor Lodge!
