The room was very small but clean however we were in the 2nd floor which we didn’t like. We couldn’t keep an eye on our bikes and someone stole the bolt off my husbands seat on his bike! Very frustrating & disappointing! Would not stay there again, will always go where we can park our bikes in front of our window

Disappointing 🤦‍♀️

This has a great location and the staff are great. The room we had was newly renovated and it was nice for a couple of days, very clean and good amenities.  The bar/restaurant was nice being by the water but they could definitely improve on the food ( over cooked and bland tasting ). Bobcaygeon is a nice town but the real action is in Fenelon falls, more shopping and more tourist friendly. Steve s.

Acceptable. 

Booked for Oct 10/20 and was given room 5. After check in we had to leave and didn’t return until late that night. Upon getting up in the morning, found dirty sock under the night stand. AND the bed sheets were covered in black hair!  Also hair on towels on towel rack by very small shower. Plus the toilet seat was not tight and needed replacing. If only we took the time to inspect before we left.
When checking out, I informed the lady at the desk and she was shocked. The manager/owner who was seated at a table, replied, Oh there were 2 black dogs in that room! No apology, no sorry, no compensation! The rate we paid was more than the off season rate quoted on their website. Will never stay there again and hope by reading this you won’t either. Totally disgusting!

Dirty Room

We spent two nights here and had a great time. The staff were great and the room was clean and cozy. The location was perfect as we walked to the locks and all over town. The riverside patio is a nice touch although a bit pricey. We look forward to going back. Steve s

Cozy

When we checked it at reception, we should known we had made a big mistake. The reception area was a shambles, cluttered with unembarrassed furniture and tools.. you could hardly get to what they called the reception desk. The owner said excuse the mess we are renovating. They have been for two years and they expect to be renovating for another two years.  
The owner said we had the best room in the inn. l would hate to see the other rooms. We did have a private balcony off the room, but it was small and two small tired wood chairs you would see at a antique shop. and no table. lt was only 30 inches wide.
At first sight the room looked nice, but when you looked closer the floor in the bathroom was linoleum and had cracks it in. The shower had what appeared to be mold on the grout. Th efan was loud and noisy.
They said they had free WIFI but when l tried to sign in it said the password was "Incorrect". After numerous attempts to login and l went down the reception and what do you know it logged in fine. When l got ten feet away the signal was so poor l lost the connection. So much for free WIFI. l wasn't about to sit in messy reception area to use the WIFI.
We were there for two nights and the first afternoon when we came back the room was not made up. We let them know and they said the housekeeping person was still there and they would attend to our room. when we returned at supper the bed was made and they left one clean towel. The dirty towels were left behind and they didn't empty the wastebaskets or give us more clean plastic glasses.
When we checked out there was no one at reception but one of the staff said just leave the keys on the table. They didn't ask if we enjoyed our stay. 

The only good thing about the Inn was their outdoor patio. The food and the service was very good. l would highly recommend you eat there.

The outside of the Inn Looks Lovely, but the inside and the rooms POOR

Owner was very nice & accommodating. Room had all I needed. Was clean. Could use more TV channels and could not get wifi working, but not a big deal. It was quiet and comfortable. Would stay again. Easy walk to all amenities. Right on the water which would be awesome in summer.

Nice spot

I friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. The owner checked us in, and carried our bags to our room. we stayed in room 1 and had a water view, There was a queen size bed, a sofa bed, a jetted tub in the room, fireplace, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The 4 piece bathroom was a little outdated but had everything that we needed.                    
                                                                                                                                       
 We got settled and then went down to the bar on their huge waterfront patio. We had a nice conversation with the owners, who just bought the property in May.  They are eager to start renovations and i am looking forward to seeing what they do with the place, when I return next year,                                                                          
                                                                                                                                 
This Inn is also in a great location and is in walking distance from shopping and other restaurants. I would definitely recommend this Inn the next time you are in the area.

Comfortable stay

Much better under recent new owner. Congrats on a great job already! Had lunch on the patio on July 27. Food, atmosphere and servers excellent. Drive, walk or go by boat. Will not be disappointed. Don't read past reviews based on the old owner

OUTDOOR PATIO

been coming for a few years now, new ownership already having an impact on the rooms, food and atmosphere. Can’t wait to see the updated rooms! Ate in the dining room and the patio food arrived hot service was excellent. this is an great waterside location and a very short walk to the bustling town.

June 2019-new owners great service

Booked a room.. was the size of a washroom.. very old and walls were in need of paint .. putty on the walls.. bed was rock hard.. bedding looked very old.. table set was rusty and looked like it was from a patio set.. Doorways had leaves piled up inside. very dirty.. Asked for another room.. They did so right away.. second room was twice the size and a bit better.. Beds need to be replaced.. For a tourist town, this Inn needs a major reno..
