Was in an ensuite room. Don't believe the pictures, zero correlation. Small, very small, dark, not too clean and extremely old. Window was propped open with a piece of wood. Curtain doesn't really cover the window. Next to a busy main road, you can hear cars all night.  No storage space at all. Small-screen TV with a couple of grainy channels. Wifi worked well.
Parking is limited, the lot was full a couple of times and I had to find street parking elsewhere. Location is not bad, walking distance to the waterfront area.
The place has a very large kitchen, which is surprisingly well equipped.  Was always busy, and unfortunately the smell of cooking (lots of frying) permeates everywhere. I did some laundry and a brief spell in the drier was enough to have everything smell of burnt meat. 
Although the place is very cheap, I don't think I'll return.

Cheap but not great

Samesun is a large, modern hostel in Kelowna. It's very spacious and clean with nice beds and decor.
My room was quiet, comfortable and the property was close to my appointments. There's a huge kitchen. They keep the place clean and well supplied.

we were there for 2 nights , we enjoyed the big kitchen well equiped and the super nice outside patio to drink coffe in the morning. Bed were comfortable, it was clean and staff was great and welcoming . we were on the private room with washroom and it was just enough for us .

From reception to maintenance personell, everyone here is super helpful and friendly. Best weekend away Ive had in a while. Amazing outdoor patio and good vibes. 

The beer fridge outside the kitchen is a great idea. 

And even in corona times this place does not lack the social aspect of hostels. Lots of good people around and always a good conversation.

Fantastic place

Clean simple rooms. Lockers large enough to put your whole backpack in. bring your own lock or buy one there. clean bathrooms with hot showers and super friendly helpfull staff. Large kitchen with all the basic utensils. 

Top Notch Hostel, Massive kitchen

This place was great! Definitely going back there again when I hit up BC. The staff are all friendly, the place is clean, and the facilities are great. There is plenty of space to make food and there is free breakfast in the mornings. 11/10

Best hostel I've been to so far

Everything was great. Rooms and bathrooms were all clean. Good free breakfast options. Close to downtown. Affordable dorms or private rooms. Good range of activities for visitors. Friendly and helpful staff

Great hostel

Friendly staff, free breakfast and clean/secure spaces. What more could you want for $28-$60 a night! Plus there is towel service and plenty of space to hangout. Want to go out? Its a short walk to pubs and activities or if your feeling a bit lazy, even shorter bus ride! Deffinitely recommend this place if you need a place to stay!

Great place to stay

There are nicer hotels for the same price. The room wasn't very clean, the shower especially, I cleaned it myself before using it. It's quite noisy as well, you can here people walking and opening doors quite easily. Breakfast hours were inconvienent for me, doesn't start till 730.

Doubt I'll go back.

If your looking for a night indoors or even a temporary location to call home, the same sun is a beacon of enjoyable energy and provides a safe and relaxed atmosphere. In my opinion this is a nice place visit .
