Great Stay .In the heart of Charleroix, just near La malbai, 50 minutes to Bai saint Catherine,also the same to Bai saint paul.Parking lot is in the yard,close to entrance of appartment.Supermarket & restaurants in La malbai, five minutes drive .Very good view . 0ur Appantment was on Second floor, very clean with Amenities,Kitchen,Kitchenette toaster. oven, & Some basic items for cooking. Coffee Maker and coffee.We Stayed 3 nights, it was super quiet. Our hostess,Chantal, helped us alot to plan our day every day, sent us all major things to see and to do in Charleroix with a plenty of good hints, also accept to do our laundry items in her laundry machine. Also she fixed the bumper of our car,so avoided to go to mechanic to fix it .She Stayed in grand floor,But we had our privacy completely . Surely Stay again, and suggest it to others

Excellent

The views from Cap à l'Aigle accross the St Lawrence are really quite beautiful, and Cap à l'Aigle is a lovely place to stay: a quick drive from La Malbaie but more secluded and quieter. L'auberge Petite Plaisance is very comfortable and a great place to settle in for a few days: the kitchenette and bathroom are modern and there was a reading room and comfortable bedroom. It's a great place for daytrips by car to Tadoussac and car or train to Baie-Sainte-Paul. My one suggestion is that the chairs in the sitting or TV room are not the most comfortable for lounging: they have fairly straight backs so it isn't too easy to relax after a day or walking or exploring the region. But I slept well each night and would likely come back.

Comfortable Place to Stay in La Malbaie

Situated on the water and overlooking the St. Lawrence, this older building sparkles with antique charm, from the walk-in porch to the decor of the dining room. The rooms upstairs continue the theme with nicely placed antiques giving an old world charm discreetly backed by modern conveniences. An example would be the en-suite washroom in our room that replicated an antique Quebec armoire in the corner - big enough to permit a full bath as well as a toilet and basin. What a thoughtful renovation. This game kind of attention to detail was evident in the breakfast, which was delicious and featuring a smorgasbord of cooked and cold options. The parking also was easy to access and sufficient to accommodate a full house. Some of the other guests seems like they had stayed there before - and it is the sort of habit that would be easy to acquire.

Antique Charmer with good breakfast

This bed and breakfast provides a good base from which to explore the local area. The rooms are clean spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is very good .the owners are helpful and informative .We visited leshaute-Gorgess-de-la-rivière national park. The hikes on well kept and clearly marked paths have occasional good views but are in the main amongst the pines . A little further away is Les grands-Jardins national park with its justly famous Monts Du lac- des cygnets  trail and for those with a head for heights, the via Ferrata.
The best meal we had in La Malbaie was at Chez Truchon Bistro Auberge- it was very good,attractively presented  and reasonably priced. The house is lovely- wooden building with surrounding verandah .

Quiet,comfortable and friendly

This is our second trip to this area.  We came with friends because we had such a great time 2 years ago.  This time we decided to try a bed and breakfast but knew we were limited as we were booking at the last minute.  We were pleasantly surprised with this spot on the other side of the Malbaie river.  It was perfect for our outings for whale watching but close enough to Malbaie to explore the many restaurants.  Both rooms had private baths.  Our room had a large bath and a queen size bed( #1) and our friends had #2 with a smaller bath.  Their bathroom was unique but not if you are a larger person it would be hard to maneuver. 
There was a fridge for you to story any wine or other items in the hall.
Breakfast was good with a selection of eggs/ omelette or french toast.  There was of course coffee tea yogurts, fresh fruit, cheese and toast and cold cereals if you needs more.  There was a delicious selection of homemade jams-maple/apple, peach/marmalade and a strawberry.
The hostess was very helpful in suggesting dining venues.  She directed us to excellent restaurants that would match most fine dining venues in any large city. She even made our reservations for us.  We bought our own bottle of wine and she bought out glasses for us to enjoy in the common area. We enjoyed speaking with her to get a sense of what the region had to offer.
The bed is my only complaint but then that is not easy for me as most beds do not meet my needs. 
Overall- VERY GOOD TRIP AND ACCOMMODATIONs
