Hillcrest BnB is a lovely and welcoming place to stay.  Debbie and Darwin make you feel so welcome.  There is a fantastic view from the deck and delicious breakfasts. We can't say enough to praise thei5 little piece of paradise.

Like visiting family! 

The room was very spacious, clean and quiet.  Very comfortable!  Debbie and Darwin were absolutely wonderful and welcoming and were ready with lots of ideas for things to do in the area. Breakfast was delicious!  The view was spectacular!  Enjoyed Mamma Mia! in Chemainus after our stay. Would highly recommend this for a nice, relaxing getaway! 😊

Excellent accommodations!

Debbie and Darwin are ideal hosts.  They checked with us about our dietary needs in order to prepare the perfect breakfast.  Our suite was perfect - roomy, clean, comfortable.  Their home was easy to find and private (being at the end of their street).  Their property shows great pride of ownership in the beautiful gardens and well appointed home.  We would not hesitate to stay with them again.

A perfect home away from home!

Hillcrest Avenue B&B in Ladysmith BC is simply excellent and Debbie and Darwin are not only extraordinary hosts, they are good people.  

When offered my choice of rooms or suite, I liked the Hydrangea Room on the main floor of the house with a view of Darwin's garden, but wondered if that would not crowd them - or me - in some way.  I need not have worried, my room was quiet at the end of a hall, and my hosts quickly made me feel remarkably at home.  

Debbie and Darwin recommended a lovely 5 km hike along a creek, offered directions to the community theatre, suggested an excellent restaurant for dinner, make a point of taking a guest photo in the flower garden, provided a remarkable breakfast and were very pleasant company.  What more could you want?

This room does share a bathroom with another main floor bedroom, but since there was no one there, it did not matter.  And the large suite downstairs is a private alternative, if preferred.  The price is very reasonable for what is provided and I would definitely stay at the Hillcrest Avenue B&B again.

Simply Excellent!

Debbie and Darwin were both so welcoming and accommodating to my mom, aunt, and myself during our stay this fall at the their home at Hillcrest B&B.  They added so many special touches to our stay that made it such a great experience. We look forward to going back again the next time we are back on the island. The breakfast was amazing and they took into account my special dietary requirements. We never stayed at a B&B before but they set the bar high. They had great recommendations for places to eat and directed us to a great little tea farm. You can tell these two really love what they do. The view is breathtaking and they have the most beautiful yard which you can tell they take a lot of pride in. If you are looking for a cozy place to stay, look no further. 

Cozy home away from home

Lovely hosts and the most incredible breakfasts.. you will not be disappointed! They were the most friendly and welcoming B&B we have ever experienced.  The price is most reasonable for the qualify of the stay and the food you get. 

Great, great, great!

We loved staying there. The room was beautiful and exceptionally clean- spacious and offered a kitchen, had we wished to make our own food. But who would want to make your own food with that gourmet breakfast?! Tea and cookies in the evening! Even when we had to leave early the proprietor packed us the best breakfast to go. They were friendly and went above and beyond the services we would expect of a B&B, we feel like we developed friends for life! We highly recommend!
