My wife and I stayed overnight at Barons Motor Inn en route from Perth Ontario to Montreal.  We highly recommend it. The hotel and room were spotless. The room quiet, and well appointed with very comfortable beds.  The owner/manager is very  welcoming, hospitable and helpful. The pricing good value. Directly across the road is a full service restaurant which serves a hearty breakfast and other meals. The owner/manager kindly offered  and made reservations such that we were quickly seated and served.  The location on Highway 7 is central for visits in the surrounding area including to Almonte and Carleton Place and is an easy 40 or so minute drive to Ottawa.  We will stay there again when in the area.

Stayed recently re local equestrian event.  I think like most of us I can usually find something to complain about re a stay.  Often might be just something minor.  But there was absolutely nothing to complain about.   Clean, good repair, fridge that was actually nice and cold, decent water pressure, a/c worked great, beds comfy, modern tv and bell cable.    The owner/operators were friendly and approachable.  And reasonably priced.  Will return.

I was uncertain  about booking a room at Baron Inn. Now, I am glad I did. I stayed for two nights at the Baron Inn. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. I would highly recommend the Baron Inn. The lady at the front desk was very helpful. I can't wait to go back again! 

Great!

First motel we've stayed at where the manager was so efficient, courteous and helpful - even carrying suitcases out to the car.  What a courtesy he extended us.   The accommodation was super; clean and nicely furnished room.  Beds were very comfortable and the TV had explicit instructions for operation.  Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this motel to any and all travellers.

SUPERB MANAGEMENT, LOVELY ROOMS, QUIET AND RELAXING

Last time we had stayed here was 25 years ago. 

I would encourage all to go there , the new owner Kit is such an amazing wonderful host 
The renos upgraded rooms are very very spacious and beautiful

We stayed at Barons Motor Inn Carleton Place ON Sept 30 - Oct 1 st.

We spent 3 nights at the Barons Motor Inn. The rooms were quite large and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows, not so much. Bring your own pillow if you can. I would stay here again.

Nice Surprise

I would like to acknowledge the owner of the hotel.  Very friendly and accommodating. Assist with bags to the room and watched over vehicle in the parking lot.  All staff very helpful.  Also rooms very clean!

Baron Hotel Carlton Place

We attended a wedding nearby and had booked into this motor inn - the rooms were very spacious and clean, 2 other rooms were booked by family and they all enjoyed the motel.  The manager/owner was very nice and helpful about where to shop/eat etc.  In the morning he even gave the grandkids a box of timbits, which was so thougthful and a lovely unexpected surprise.  I would definitely stay here again! 

Better than expected

The inn exceeded my expectations. It was cleaner comfy than I expected. The place was quiet at night and at night, the front door is locked unless you have your own key which is better security. I also liked how the washroom sink and bathroom are not in the same room. Washroom sink is outside the bathroom. One bad thing is if you arrive late at night (after midnight), there is no front desk but if you call the number, the owner will quickly come to check you in. The owner was very nice and went out of his way when I was filling my ice and needed a bigger bucket, he left and came back with a big bucket and told me to leave it in my room. Next door is Harvey’s and across the street is McDonald’s and Tim Horton’s. There is a LCBO if you go further down. Also close to downtown main strip of Carleton Place. Very convenient.

Clean comfortable inn

Baron's Motor Inn does not look nice from the outside but is clean and comfortable on the inside.  The decor is a little dated and there are no amenities to speak of but the rooms are clean, comfortable and roomy.  The hotel is conveniently located in Clifton Park and close to all foo, retail and downtown CP.  Definitely not romantic or luxury but it's a perfectly good place to stay at a reasonable price.  The owners are very nice and are genuinely hospitable.
