Stayed there for a long weekend. The room had a weird smell, but otherwise clean. However after we left (having cleaned up our room) we were told we would be charged the $100 deposit for an iron mark on one of the bedsheets. We had not left the iron on the beds and questioned this. We were sent an up-close out-of-context photo of an outline of an iron on a bed cover. There were no burn marks or anything that didn't look like it wouldn't be easily fixed with regular laundering. My friend called back and said we never saw this at all and was told they were going to charge us $200 for it....which was completely ridiculous for a cheap polyester bed cover. We tried calling back again and the woman refused to resolve the issue and hung up. Very sketchy thing to do and with terrible service. Would not recommend it. Try any of the other motels in Lennoxville or if it's the summer stay at the school, cleaner and better service.

Sketchy and bad service

Older hotel located on the outskirt of Sherbrooke. Rooms are clean if maybe a little outdated. Prices are lower then the rest of town and match quality. Good service. Good place if you are looking for good quality versus price ratio.

The rooms are clean and basic.
The beds are comfortable.  The washrooms are functional.
A complimentary breakfast is offered with the room rate. Breakfast is as basic as the accommodation.
We enjoy the proximity to Bishop's University when we are visiting our son, who is studying there.

Very basic but affordable accommodation

This hotel was just okay.  The room was small but adequate. Breakfast was below par with others, no hot food, and choice was toast or a bagel which was brought out to you.  Wifi was very weak also.  Location was okay... about 10 min drive from Sherbrooke.

Just Okay

Got last room available for a Sat. night. Was in the walk-out basement and had close parking.  Room was large, quiet, and very comfortable. Staff was very professional and helpful. Would certainly stay again.

Nice interior brick walls, very clean but a bit outdated. The only issue was no vent or window in the bathroom, so basically you need to vent it inside your room... and keep the windows open? Located a few minutes drive from downtown

A pleasant stay

La Paysanne is rather run-down. A coat of paint  and a more accurate neon sign would help. The welcome was warm, and the owner was very helpful, even assisting us at breakfast. The room was rather dark and dated, and the bed sagged in the middle, but it was clean. The motel is well situated for the university and the village.

Stayed here cuz was on Bishop's University site. It is close. It was clean. Otherwise dreadful. Doorknob and AC broken. Could not run fan with curtains closed. Sink drain clogged. Shower control stuck. Window above bed let in early bright sun. If I'd been staying longer is have complained or relocated.
