While attempting to situate a vehicle in the parking lot I was rudely informed by the manager that I was not to park at a certain spot. Not only was he vulgar in his speech he also went into the office and took his uniform off and came back to the vehicle wanting to fight. Very unprofessional service when I did nothing but comply in a calm manner unlike the manager who no doubt has mental instabilities. Would not recommend to anyone.

Unpleasant management

We stayed on night in a pet friendly room with our 2 small dogs. Room was clean and neat, the bathroom actually has a bidet/toilet which was a surprise and the lady at front office was friendly. Reasonable rates. Would stay here again and w

Good value

I arrived here after a very long drive. Checked into the hotel and went right to sleep. Bed and sheets were clean, so seemed ok.
It wasn’t until I woke up in the middle of the night and went to use the washroom that I noticed what appeared to be blood spots in the bathroom. Upon further investigation I discovered more blood spots throughout the bathroom area. Gross!!!!
Front desk was closed at that time of night so waited until morning to complain. Couldn’t get back to sleep as I was so appalled, and didn’t want to touch anything. When I brought it up with front desk, they gave me $20 off... which I don’t think was enough!
I will not stay here again nor recommend it to anyone!

BLOOD in room

Great place! Newly decorated rooms. Rooms were clean and well kept. Dog friendly and no carpets so no smell of a previous dog in the room. I ended up leaving earlier than expected and front desk was awesome with getting my money back to me!

Work move

Not a five star but clean.  Dogs are free and we just needed a place to put our heads down.  Free breakfast, cereal and toast, coffee/tea juices.  I preferred to walk across the street to Starbucks.  Friendly staff, very inexpensive place to stay, great location central on Mayor Magrath close to Japanese Gardens, Henderson Lake Park and Golf Course lots of restaurants close by.

Dog freindly

Stayed their with my wife and 2 year old child. If you’re looking for nothing more than a bed to sleep in then it will do. Room was relatively clean and everything worked as it should. Plenty of restaurants and shopping in close proximity. If you want anything above that I wouldn’t recommend it. The breakfast included only toast and Cheerios. Not even yogurt or fruit were available. The pool was not open as advertised (opens in July so I guess they get 3 months a year) but even if it was I wouldn’t recommend it as it looked very worn down and was about 50 feet off the main road for everyone to watch you.

Overall you get what you pay for I guess but there wasn’t much of a bargain here. 

A bed to sleep in

It has been a while since I stayed here. I wasn't originally planning on staying overnight in The Bridge but I was tired and my car just felt like heading south down Mayor Magrath. The front end clerk originally assigned me to a second floor room but I always stay ground floor. With an easy smile she said, "No problem, let me just change that for you"!

The rooms always feel like boutique funky. It was the first time I had stayed at a property that had a toilet that does all of the work (you know what I mean?). To change water coming out of the bathtub tap to the shower, you need to pull out the front of the faucet. The first time I stayed here, I needed to call the front desk to ask how I could make the water come out of the shower head. Then there are the burnt orange walls. Like I said, funky!

Of course I will stay here again.

Great value property on Mayor Magrath Drive S

When there and they didn't give us a room cuz we were native even said that's the reason...they were stereo typing us and said they had rooms but none for us.these guys here missed a finger...walked in they said they only rent if we have credit card...told them do we look like we dont have a credit card he said yes...then said we been having problems with partying...told them I dont drink been 7 years. he said good for you. Told himes so you have rooms just nor for us because we are natives??...he said yes...said that's f&%ked...he said bring it on!!...so we left went to super 8 and got treated like we were people...felt good felt great...thank you super 8...motel 6 is no good dont go there...racist and as brown as we are just not from this country...

Racial discrimination

I was refused because I am first nation. Told I couldn’t get a room because I needed a credit card so I presented my credit card. Asked if I was being stereotyped and the man said yes. We have too much problems with parties. My daughter has an early hockey game. Just wanted some where to sleep. We don’t drink. I do not receive this treatment when I check in at Sheraton or any other hotel. Just because I am First Nation does not mean I drink or party. I work a full time job. I graduated university. This man came out and admitted he refused my family because he stereotyped us. I will never go there again.
