Little Fort

The actual overflow campsite location was good, lots of room with table and fire pit. The price however was high at $45 for an unserviced site. It was an extra $5 to use the shower. 
The campground is located next to a busy highway and across the river from a train. It was a noisy nights sleep!

Overflow camping

The Rivermont is an independently owned motel 4 minutes out of the small village of Little Fort and worth considering for an overnight stay if passing though en route of longer if doing anything in the area. The new owners have had the place since 2017 and they are clearly invested in building up the motel. The grounds are well kept (it also has an RV park) and the rooms are partly old (coat racks, dressers) and partly new (tiling, carpet, linens, decorative items, painted walls). There is  sense of care. The room we had was large and basic in many aspects with a comfortable bed--and it was very clean. 
Although we were on the main floor and at the front, noise was not a problem. We could hear the footsteps of people going upstairs on the outdoor stairs, but not other motel noise, and we did not hear any noise from the road (and this was a warm weekend in July).
Tiffany, one of the owners, was very warm and friendly. I understand that pre COVID the stay came with a home cooked breakfast, and the breakfast area was cosy.
The whole place was cosy. There are multiple hummingbird feeders and at one point I watched over 7 feeding all at once. There is also a playground for kids.
If timing permits, visit the cable ferry in Little Fort. It is free, and the trip is only 5 minutes. If you go, make sure to chat with Stu, the ferry man. we went on as foot passengers and came back on the return trip.

Beautiful location on the river. Rooms are very clean. Loved the yard games, golf, basketball etc. The owners are super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was delicious and just like home made. We will definitely go back.

Awesome Staff

Place is in the middle of nowhere.  Outside Little (and I mean LITTLE) Fort BC. Wood structure by train tracks. Train noise frequently til midnight.  Hot no AC. Very clean, but basic. Cant drink water. Beds ok not serve breakfast til 8. Thinking more of selves than of patrons. Never again.

Never again

The motel is along the state road. The front has a large parking lot, a lovely garden with small statuettes and next to it in a nice lawn with a small playground. Our room was quite large and furnished in a Spartan way, a little dated but clean as was the bathroom. The laundry room is outside the bathroom. On the bed was a pillow with a picture of a hummingbird and on the furniture a leaf informing that the area is a protected area for hummingbirds. Another leaf advised not to drink tap water: in the fridge there were bottles of mineral water offered by the motel. At the time of checking the room the lady notices that, the characteristics of the construction of the bread on the WiFi label might not be good and so you had to get out of the room.

Lovely, kind, caring staff, ready to advise you and creating a real personal exchange. Ideal location about twenty minutes from Wells Grey Provincial Park (by the way plenty of documentation at the hotel to make you have a good time around). The setting is charming by the river. Spacious room (although we found the room a little summarised with a lack of furniture to lay our suitcases or our belongings) Excellent breakfast entirely homemade and delicious!!

We stayed one night here and were pleasently surprised. The hosts were very warm and welcoming. Spacious and clean room. The breakfast was great. Would definitely stay again. A little noise from the road, but nothing that would disturbe your sleep. 

Great little place with friendly hosts

Rooms are clean and comfortable and breakfast fine if repetitive.  Main issue the deafening noise from hwy 5 traffic.   Rooms hot as unable to keep windows open due to noise.    No pleasant place to sit outside in peace.  Also wifi unreliable and didnt work in the room at all.

Highway noise drowns out experience

we camped in a Class B van here.  We were thrilled when we arrived to see the setting right on the riverfront.  We were told to pick any rv site so we settled under a shade tree and hooked up.  The utilities were great.  We paid $5 apiece extra to use the bathroom with shower which we seemed to have to ourselves.  It was spacious and very clean and great water pressure and temperature.  The hosts were very accommodating in all respects.  We loved being at the base of a mountain and being on the riverfront.  Great setting all around.

Privatly run Motel(Family). Great Service. 
Amazing Breskfast - the selfmade Quiche was awesome. I eat 6 :) the room was clean and spacious. Nice river view. A lot of hummingbirds. 
We stayed there for one Night but it was absolutely   worth to go there.
