Stayed here twice now while driving through Lloydminster. Both times I arrived after midnight and had booked the room ahead of time. When I arrived, the staff were very accommodating, friendly & helpful. The room is clean & super quiet with blackout curtains and a mini fridge. The wifi is good, beds are very comfortable. The first time I stayed while driving through I chose the best western plus & had the worst sleep ever. I decided to try out a different hotel on my way back through lloydminster and I’m so happy I did. The Royal Hotel is going to be my choice from now on because it’s so quiet, comfortable, clean and staff are welcoming and friendly - that’s more than good enough for me!

Quiet & comfortable stay

We were stuck in the terrible winter storm and this hotel offered us a King room without charging anything extra for early check in (we checked in at 11am). Angela at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Beds were clean and comfortable. Bathroom had a nice hot shower. Rooms have access from outside as well. Nice location, with lots of things closeby. Would definitely recommend this place.

Nice, comfy hotel

The front desk lady was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean: bathroom had amenities, price was reasonable. The night was quiet and beds were comfortable. There is no longer breakfast as the restaurant on site has closed but this would be my first choice to stay. We will definitely stay here again next time we make the trip west.

The Hidden Gem in Lloydminster

From the first call to their extra friendly front desk to the quick and efficient check out a couple of weeks later, I was impressed in this budget friendly hotel. I was able to get a weekly rate that saved me a little extra on their already competitive rate. The room had a lot of small items such as keurig coffee maker with supplied coffee, microwave, bar fridge and satellite tv that made my stay easier  The king sized bed I had was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on.

This hotel was by far a lovely, comfortable, clean, excellent worker and the breakfast in the morning is cooked to perfection. For a low price on stay then complimentary breakfast, gratuity not covered it was more than we could ever ask for. The rooms have coffee, micro, fridge, steamer for clothes, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, lotion, wonderful pressure on showers, and big screen t v. I didn’t want to leave. Thanks to the workers and to the cook who knows what they are doing. Wonderful experience. Can’t wait to come back. 💝

Comin home from Alaska to Missouri had a grandson graduate from high school! 

We have stayed at this location several times and the staff are outstanding! The kind of service you just don't find anymore. Both on the phone and in person staff are friendly, competent and super helpful. Rates are reasonable, rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast buffet is second to none!! We don't ever think of staying anywhere else whenever we are in Lloydminster.

Service above and beyond!!

I booked this hotel since it had many positives reviews. When we checked in we were informed our room was on the other side of the hotel and that we could park right next to the room. Both my dogs got a little puppy bag which had a couple towels in it and a little bowl. It thought that was a nice touch. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. The reason for only three stars was because of the restaurant at the hotel. 
I went down there for dinner and there was two other people there so no busy at all. I was seated and given a menu and asked if I wanted water. I said yes and the waitress filled the glass then proceeded to leave and not as if I had any questions. She came back and I ordered the chicken cordon blue. When I got my meal the chicken looked like it came from a frozen bag and the mashed potatoes tasted like they were dehydrated. The waitress never came over to refill my glass or ask me how the dinner was. I ate maybe two bites of the chicken a couple bites of mashed potatoes and ate all the vegetables. I had to wave the waitress over to get my check and she acted like I was i inconveniencing her. 
If this had been the only problem with the restaurant I could have overlooked that but I went for the breakfast and waited almost 5 minutes to be seated and no one came out to seat me. They were again not busy at all. Very poor customer service. Maybe it was an off week for them. I would suggest eating someplace else.
