Walked in as we were looking for a spot for breakfast.
Staff were quick to greet us and we were directed to pick a table. Great spot that faces the Bay, The choices were eating in or eating out on the patio. We chose in as it was a bit chilly...
The menu had many breakfast choices. We picked the Captain's breakfast and the pancake brkfast. The staff placed the order and in a jiffy we had our warm and delicious brkfast. 
Coffee was refilled! That's a bonus on its own. 
Great service, a view of the Bay and great food to boot!!!
 

Great Breakfast

Our room was on the 3rd floor but had wonderful views of the water and sail boats. It was quiet even with the road below. Unfortunately, because of staffing issues the restaurant was not open while we were there. 
We stayed in Room 2 which was very spacious. There was plenty of space for the 3 of us without feeling like we were in each other's way.

Great location on the water with comfortable room

My wife and I got here early and that was a good thing since we were able to grab a table for two outside overlooking the harbour. We opted for the lobster sandwich with fries and slaw and loved our meal, which we washed down with a local beer. As we left we saw the lines building up.

Great spot for seafood

First off, the seafood chowder would have been enough! More meat ( scallops, fish, clams etc)  to turn it into a meal by itself. But we then had the Lunenburg Scallop dinner. ..not to be confused with the Atlantic scallop plate. Top this off with the Service of a lovely young lady named Emma and you’ll have experienced a great time.

This hotel/inn is certainly well located with views directly over the iconic Lunenburg habour, looking across to the Lunenburg Golf Club.
With COVID-19 restrictions in full swing, we decided some local businesses needed support. We picked this Inn based on location.
Location is certainly a major attraction although, not sure if that would still be the case if post Covid-19 the town were to be overflowing with tourists again.
The rooms are huge, the view spectacular - but - most of all, the staff is/was amazing.
We travel a lot ( well we used to - before Covid-19) and stayed in a lot of different places. Here - the staff went out of their way to let us know they appreciated our business. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble.
The restaurant food was close to perfection. The portions close to perfectly sized.

Even though this Inn is less than 100km from our house, we may well go back again soon - just to offer our support, small as it may be, to do our part in supporting local business.
( One of the serving staff let us know that it now takes THREE different jobs just to cover the basics of life ~ very sad).
WE adore the positive attitude of all the staff we met.

Probably the most friendly staff we've ever encountered anywhere.

We arrived in Lunenburg with no accommodation reservations. There were many options so decided we would choose while eating supper. We went to the Dockside for supper, ate on the patio over looking the Bluenose II in the Harbour and loved it. My seafood chowder was delicious and literally all seafood, no potatoe or other veg acting as a filler. My boyfriend also really liked his fish and chips. Shelly our server was top notch. When we asked about room prices she even offered to take us upstairs after our meal to show us a room so we could decide. She took us up, told us the price and we were sold! The view is absolutely amazing, the rooms sooo spacious and clean. Slightly dated but the view and size makes up for that! We literally stayed at Digby Pines the night prior and both agreed that Dockside was 100 x better for half the price. We enjoyed a walk along the Harbour front, a beer at the brewery and headed back. I realized that I had forgotten a cork screw for my wine but Shelly happened to be coming out the restaurant as we were headed to our room and without a beat went back inside and got me a me one. We enjoyed our morning coffee (kcup) provided in the room while over looking the beautiful Harbour. Showered and enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the restaurant before another days adventure. If your lucky enough that the Bluenose II is docked in her home port make sure to check her out. The ship is amazing, the word work so beautiful and meticulously maintained. 

I absolutely recommend Dockside Inn & Suites 100%. Pictures below are taken from our room.

The room had a full on view of the water and the ships upon it. Right upstairs from the restaurant but no excess noise. Big, wide rooms with lots of space. And the price cannot be beat. I put this up there with the best discount hotels I've ever stayed in.

Fantastic view

Well fantastic!!! The view from room and dinner room could not get any better . The staff is fantastic ,friendly !!! The chowder was amazing as for the rest of the food including lobster & scalloped dinner . We booked 4 nights and stayed 6 . Can not wait to return!!!

Here is a place that you can eat delicious surf & turf at reasonable price looking at the ocean view and colorful Lunenburg buildings.  Good thing is prices are reasonable starting from $10 or less. 
Homemade blueberry pie was unforgettable which was not sugary sweet instead it was tart and fruity.  We appreciate our server, Kayla, she was pleasant and welcoming.

We stayed at Dockside in July and loved the beautiful spacious suits we already booked for next year great location close to restaurants and right on the water ,we were there during scollop days and enjoyed that very much can't wait to return next year !!
