We arrived late in the evening so Mel and Ron had left the door open for us along with the key to our room.  That night we were the only guests, so our late arrival did not disturb others.  We tiptoed in and went up the stairs and found our room.  It was cozy and spotlessly clean, as was the ensuite bathroom.  We awoke to roosters crowing and chickens clucking.  What a fun experience for us!  When I made the reservation, Mel asked if there were any breakfast foods that we didn't eat.  I told her I didn't eat pork and my husband didn't eat cheese.  They were so accommodating to our needs.  The breakfast came at our desired time, and my plate with the fresh eggs (from their chickens) and potatoes was delicious.  My husband had eggs, potatoes and meat on his plate.  Toast was served on separate plates to each of us.  Thinking that I might be hungry without the meat products, Mel offered me a plate of different kinds of cheeses, which by the way, were all yummy.  The breakfast came with juice and tea or coffee, and the most wonderful preserves that were homemade from the Aronia berries that grow on a bush in their yard.  We enjoyed the preserves so much on our toast that we purchased several jars to take home to give as gifts.  Mel and Ron surpassed every expectation of what good hosts should be in a B&B.  We had a short but lovely stay, and made some new friends along the way.  Their B&B was decorated beautifully and was truly an English Experience!

Wonderful Stay with Wonderful Hosts

Lots of UK decor and a very English breakfast with the mushrooms and tomatoes to go with the eggs and bacon.  The hosts were delightful and enjoyed mingling with the guests over a pot of tea.  The two dogs were quite entertaining.  The location is a bit in the middle of nowhere (but close to the bridge to PEI) so it's a bit of a drive to dinner.  Rooms were simple, but spotless, and the bed was very comfortable.  A bit of a stair climb for most rooms.  Some confusion with our reservation but it sorted out without causing us a problem.

It was definitely the English experience!

Mel and Ron are some the nicest people out there. There compony was just what my family needed after a long day of driving. The Room as so beautiful and clean. The wifi was so fast and very easy to access. The breakfast in t the mooring was such a good way to wake up. Their two dogs were so friendly and us being a family who loves dogs loved having one around to pet. The chickens and ducks out side gave such a lovely feel to the experience. Overall I would 100% go back and recommend it to anyone, it may have been the best accommodations we had our whole trip.

Amazing

Melanie and Ron were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to accomodate us. My husband and I stayed at their charming B&B the night before the Terry Fox Run across the Confederation Bridge. We had to be up and on our way to the race by 4:30 am. Our hosts woke at O-Dark-Hundred to prepare a lovely English Breakfast to fuel us on our run. The farm fresh eggs, from hens we were introduced to the evening before, fresh homemade preserves really were a treat. We really enjoyed out stay andhighly recommend The English Experience B&B.

A lovely evening before the Bridge Run 2015

Melanie and Ron went above and beyond. We were running across the Confederation Bridge for the 35 anniversary of the Terry Fox run. They got up and had a wonderful breakfast for us so we could leave by 5AM!!!!You won't find that kind of service in too many places! The home was extremely clean, the tour of the chicken coop was very informative and the conversation was enlightening...Highly recommend and would definitely go back! Thanks again Melanie and Ron!!!
