Christmas eve was a disaster. Horrible weather, horrible timing, horrible everything. The Jolly Roger had a room available, so thankful for that. We kept getting stuck, Avery saved us twice, dug us out while plowing for all the other guests. Grateful for a warm night with helpful, accommodating staff. They all get props for giving up their holiday to cater to us. 

Oh what a Christmas

They removed all the 2018 reviews.  Hmmm....I was looking for my review to show a friend because, I said it was so bad I remember laughing at the end of my review.  Well it was no longer in my list of reviews, nor here...they did away with the older ones which were yeah...pretty bad.  So surprised that this place is just as bad 3 years later.

Funny thing, in walking through this place, you can tell that at one point it was very high end, sad in a way. Least, saddens me.

Creeeeepppyyyy

The reservation we made was not what we got - this had to be amended.  The manager and other employees were not wearing masks in any interior locations - even though they reburied guests to wear masks.  We rented to rooms of which I had to clean myself and request the bedding be changed in one of the rooms as the bed was used (which I took photos of ), pillow cases with dark staining on it, hair on the comforter.  The bathrooms were not cleaned - I cleaned both myself but took photos of the blood stain on the exterior of the tub, hair in the tubs (both rooms), dirt and dust  along the edge of the mirror, dirt on the mirror, hair and staining in the bathroom sinks.  Refrigerator full of water (which I mopped up), water and dirt on the tray under the coffee machine which the cups were sitting in. Pieces of old wrappers left on the carpet.  Plus the occupants of the room beside us (I thought we were supposed to be spaced with empty rooms between occupants) spent majority of there time coughing - which is non of our business - but they day they left the room was immediately rented to others??  (No 24 hr. wait time between renting the rooms).  Very poor poor cleanliness under normal circumstances never mind during a pandemic.  This is complete disregard for the public health and safety!  It's too bad a the location is great!

October 2020 stay

Terrible experience, beds are hard and lumpy, as are the pillows and the hallway wreaked of marijuana.  The walls are paper thin, could hear the hallway door all night.  Keep driving, you’ll get a better sleep in your car

No breakfast, no wifi, no phone service in room to front desk, white face clothes grey in colour  name has changed frequently pizza delivery could not find hotel listing and as such would not deliver.
On plus side check in person was excellent

A place to avoid

The bathroom was not cleaned. Even though there was a sanitary paper over the toilet seat as “proof” it was cleaned, whoever was supposed to clean the room before I arrived cut corners because there was urine and hair on the seat. There was also a used face cloth hanging up on the shower curtain rod, hiding within the folds of the curtain. The corner shelf on the tub/shower insert looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Additionally, there was garbage in the wastebasket in the bathroom. It was loud, the front door lock didn’t work, some trim is missing around the closet door, and it smelled of stale smoke. I was quite surprised that I didn’t have to initial or sign any registration papers, my credit card wasn’t taken for security, my vehicle info wasn’t needed, etc. I am a former hotel/resort GM and if this had been the state of any of my rooms upon check-in of a guest, there would’ve been some serious repercussions with the housekeeping staff. Speaking of which, the housekeeping staff there should save their personal, unprofessional conversations for break time in a staff-only area because the walls are paper thin in the guest rooms and their conversations were loud and clear. I tried staying here to save $85+ but it wasn’t worth the savings. It was sketchy, smelly, outdated and unclean. Will not be staying here again.

Horrible and Unclean

Exhorbitant price for a tired, broken down room - it would be overpriced at half the $140 cost! We were here two nights, and apparently there are no housekeeping staff, as our room was not made up, coffee from the first morning was still in the coffee maker (no replacement of coffee supplies either), sink was still dirty, etc. Night lock was broken, nightlight burnt out, towels were stained, tub wasn't clean, bathroom floor dirty. Breakfast is supposed be included, but consisted of a stale mini croissant, a fruit cup, a cereal bar & orange juice in a paper bag (same both mornings). Nothing a diabetic should start the day with. Very disappointed. Did not expect this from a Wyndham property.

Stay somewhere else!!

This property looked OK in the pictures... pool (only indoor pool open)... clean rooms... great location and relatively affordable.  But the property is just being changed over from it's past "quality" life and work is needed.  Rented two rooms... one smelled of animals and the other we found a missed item under the bed.  Noisy A/C is real, and the outside doors made a mistaken visitor at 1:45 AM more interesting.  Wood frame construction had the floor above us squeak often with guest movement.  Property is tired and hopefully the refresh (looks to be paint and electrical) will see it improve.

Property looked good in pictures... but read first...

Hotel was bit busy during the long weekend. We got a good deal and  can not complain about the stay. Stayed on the ground floor facing the wood and it was quite relaxing. Manager was very helpful and appreciate his service

Affordable and nice

I wasn’t expecting much as there were limited options booking last minute. Never thought I would be disappointed at a Wyndham property. The rooms are supposed to be non-smoking but it smells like cigarettes. I had to unplug something just to use the coffee-maker. The pool is creepy. Very loud A/C but can’t open windows since there are smokers outside. I would not recommend this motel.
