Spent one night here earlier this week and recommend everything about it.  Rooms were clean and in good shape.  Owner was very helpful with all info related to our time in Moncton.  The motel is about ten minutes from downtown so if you don’t mind the drive, it’s a great spot to stay for a night or two.

Great spot out of town

We were driving through Quebec and NB all day and just wanted a place to stay for one night.  The drive took a bit longer because Hwy 2 was closed between Oromocto and River Glade.  So we picked an exit and followed the NB motel signs ending up at the Atlantic Motel.   It was hard to see in the dark and we were hoping to find a free motel room without a reservation.

The motel owner directed us around the back where we parked the car.  Our room was large with two double beds, a microwave and a small fridge so we were able to heat up some food from our cooler which was nice.  There was also a table and chairs.  

The bathroom was large and it was a bit hard to adjust the shower water temp.  We watched TV and used the internet although the wifi was good but not great.  We slept very well, and the pillows are thin.  The heat can be turned up by accessing the radiator.  The room was very quiet and the furniture looks like the photos.  

In the morning we drove to the Magnetic Hill area which wasn't very far away.  I was happy we chose this convenient motel and wouldn't mind staying here again.

A good night's sleep

I've stayed in a lot of motels over the years and I don't necessarily need a fancy place to stay. If I were traveling through again and needed a place to stay I might stay one night but not for 3 as was the case in our trip.

Pros:
- very friendly owner
- very willing to help, get extra pillows, etc
- simple included breakfast
-Wifi
- easy to find and not far from other things in Moncton
- affordable

Cons:
- tv doesn't work well
- room does not appear to be cleaned thoroughly (dirt in bathroom, sticky floor)
- does not appear well kept up (broken screen, moulding around door is loose)
- one ply toilet paper

Like I said, the people were great but, if I stay in Moncton again, I'll probably look somewhere else.

Would  ot recommend for a long stay 

Room was not clean, sink dirty and piles of dirt in corners brought it to the attention of owner and he said he was having a problem with a  cleaner but that wouldn’t explain the hole in the wall and broken window. Wifi so slow it was not worth having. Would not recommend.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The owner tried to get my credit card for me to PAY for my room UP FRONT for 2 nights. I asked why and she said it was because she was a small business owner! (Truth is shes just a scammer and wanted to get my money before I seen the dump she called a room).I asked to view the room first and was disgusted in the room smell! It was moldy and smelt like dirty feet with outdated furniture and bed blankets that probably haven't been washed in years. The furniture looked like it was picked up from the dump. The carpets were old and scummy. So I returned to the owner and told her I cannot sleep in there with my 2 children and being pregnant. She immediately slammed her hand down on the counter and got very angry with me. I had to tell my girls to wait outside and get my husband to come in as she was scaring me. She went to check the room herself and came back to tell us we would still be charged for a night as we didnt cancel within 24 hours. I argued that we wouldn't be paying for anything and to change my reservation to another date (so I could call later to cancel "within the 24 hour period", and she got extremely mad. She kept slamming her hands down on the counter as she was yelling in an angry tone that we would still be charged and got on her phone to call someone. My husband told her there is no need of her being saucy with us like that because it is not our fault her room is nasty. She continued to act like a child throwing a tantrum, threatening to call her husband. So I said if she wasn't on the phone with the police then we were leaving. I immediately called Expidia to co firm she did not have my credit card and that I would not be charged for one night. I have never in my life experienced someone with such blatant disregard for children in a room, and never have I seen a grown woman act like a 6 year old who cant have a candy bar. Save yourself the hassle and trouble and stress... I wouldn't have even stayed if it was free. This owner should be shut down and given a lesson in customer service.
