The reason was that it was the only accommodation available, not far from our event, to spend the night there, after a party. The beds are comfortable, however, the rooms are very small and the dressing is not at its best, although it felt clean. The bathroom only included a shower and it was tiny, but clean. We had one of the towels that was stained with blood? I have no idea, but I found this disgusting, so we put it aside. It's okay if you're not well taken and you have to sleep in one place at all, otherwise it's not the kind of place to spend nights there.

Just for one night.

It's a clean motel, very small room, perfect for a night but not much more because it's cheap. We take it when we go to my dear sister but I wouldn't go to spend a week in this motel.

One night.

It was cold in the room and there was no extra blanket, general cleanliness to be reviewed, the same thing for the bathroom, we booked with some kind of card, but when we got there, we were told not to take that card, lack of courtesy from the staff.

What to Avoid

I'm a little confused between the motel st-hilaire cabins and the motel st-hilaire. The image on this page tripadvisor is from the motel st-hilaire, which is on the other side of the room. I don't know if the rooms are connected or not. I could go to the hotel and the hotel room in the heart of Mont-St-Hilaire. This is what I got at the motel and the st-hilaire cabins. I'm a little confused between the motel st-hilaire cabins and the motel st-hilaire. The image on this page tripadvisor is from the motel st-hilaire, which is on the other side of the room.

It met my expectations!

This place is open year round , we went in sept , I think the leaves will turn only in early October ... Great for families , young kids , and elders alike - a great walk for all ages and all challenges - you can spend the day , bring your lunch & back pack thou , don't expect restaurants there's none in the park , but plenty just outside . 

Lots of locals , this place is beautiful. Safe and well maintained , a 7$ per person charge to get in but consider it as a donation , this place is very very well maintained - you'll think your in the great north forest ( without the Bears :) )    Seriously thou we saw a deer and doe , some geese ( yup there's a lake up there ! And beaver . 

If your adventurous there is trails that require a bit of climbing which leads to the most spectacular views ... Or a simple walk , there's about 8 km of trails that intertwine so you can basically walk for hours & hours . 

I can't beleve I haven't tried this before - I'm going back for sure 

Oh and the surrounding city ( st hilaire ) is quite charming - view trip adviser for other things to do in the area and make a day & diner trip of it !!! About 1 hour from Montreal you won't regret your day --- check the weather before you leave :)  

A great walk / hike 

If you are looking for luxury, this isnt the place, but if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing time with your family - stay here! Great for kids, huge grass area with pool, swing set, bbq grill and more. Plan to stay a few days to enjoy the environment. Rooms could use some updating, but they were clean and nice.

Old time feel - but in a good way

If you want to save yourself some money and not stay right in Montreal this is the perfect spot.  Quaint 1960's era motel, spotless room with a mini fridge and microwave.  The beds were a little hard but I had no ill affects, so definitely passable and we stayed two nights.  It is owned and operated by an older couple who are very friendly and tried very hard to understand everything this anglophone was asking.  It's beautiful area in the shadow of Mt. St. Hilaire and just up from a pretty river with a small marina just down the main thoroughfare.   The picture here isn't of the motel and cabines...it's another hotel up the road.  They do need to replace their deck around the above ground pool, but the pool itself was well looked after.  For the price this is an excellent place to stay this close to Montreal.

Pretty area, decent hotel for a budget traveller.

old looking mini chalet but super clean - friendly staff, we played badminton, didn't use the pool but it looked very clean, sat outside on the balcony, quiet evening, use the picnik tables, view of the Mont Saint-Hilaire, very pretty, walking distance from many restaurants

1 very good 1st experience

Had an excellent night at this little Inn. Very affordable and the owners are very friendly and extremely helpful. We stayed in a cabin, and although it was small it was awfully cozy. Great location for a night while on the road, or even a weekend getaway. 

Great spot! 

They're homeowners who take care of the place. The cabins are convenient. Their terrace with a super BBQ, and the pool in the sun, so hot. You can play badminton, sandbox, balcony. The kids don't need toys there's everything for them.
