My wife and I stayed here two nights, Saturday & Sunday, as we were in town for a show at L’Olympia. The location was perfect for us, as it was walking distance to the venue, to the Metro, and had lots of restaurants/pubs near by. Our room was spacious, meticulously clean, and breakfast was awesome. We will definitely stay here again when in Montreal. Merci beaucoup Mr. Roc!

A true gem!

Fantastic stay.  Room was very comfortable with AC.  Delicious freshly made breakfast every day, can't say enough about the croissants!!!!    Great location right next to the QDAM subway and a block off St Catherine where all the stores/shops are located.

Great B&B Location

I am solo traveller, it is good location at it is close to shops and restaurants on st Denis.honestly, it was hard to find because it didn't say "le chasseur", it said le simone.take note of the cellphone of the place to call if the door is locked and you knock and no one opens the door for you. That's what happened to me. I arrived before their reception closed and the door was still locked. There is one washroom on each floor. The ceiling is high and clean. Problem is that the walls are thin and doors close loudly. Rooms very lose to one another. You can hear things clearly.

Good location

For anyone not travelling with their cars, it is a great location. 2 minutes from the main Subway station (Berry-UQAM). I stayed there for 2 nights and I would stay again no problem. However, it is an old building, so nothing modern about the room except the TV with great internet connection. Very small bathroom but big room but I had my own bathroom. Not recommended for people with difficulties with stairs has they are steep and narrow. Good breakfast but could be available a bit earlier to allow an earlier start in our day, on weekend it was starting at 7:30.

Great location and nice host

I spent a weekend in Montreal and stayed here for 2 nights. The room was small but cozy. Shared bath was clean and well stocked with toiletries. Unfortunately it was on the floor above me, which was a little inconvenient.
Breakfast was excellent with eggs, pancakes, toast, croissants, juice, coffee, pretty much what ever you wanted. Staff was excellent, friendly, and helpful. This place was close to everything, and public transportation was close by.

Nice weekend stay

I am told the building is over a 100 years old and it looks it inside. Nothing modern about it period.The bathroom was about 25 square feet in area (very small). Our room was on the second floor with a steep set of stairs with only a partial railing and no lift or help with the luggage. The room was clean and the bed comfortable but the parking was a nightmare. The directions given left out a few details so it took three attempts to find the garage they recommended. Getting back to the garage was also a trying experience  as the way we exited was only open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. You can only pay for one day at a time so daily trips back are a pain. We enjoyed the breakfast consisting of   omelets or pancakes and the assorted breads and jams. I asked for cold milk and was offered a warm soy milk? The owner and staff was extremely helpful  but I would not elect to stay there again due to the parking problems and the lack of a lift. There are three levels and I am glad I did not have to climb to the top floor with all my luggage. The location is close to two metro stations and there are some restaurants close to the B&B. There is a lot of street noise that filters up to the bedrooms so light sleepers might have a restless night. If this location is near where you want to be try it otherwise I recommend finding an alternative.
