We recently camped here and found our site ready for use with both garbage and recycle bins.  
  Andrew was friendly and attentive to our needs upon arrival and the girl at the water park so very helpful and friendly (sorry forget her name).
The falls are such a great attraction and there's absolutely beautiful trails off the camp ground you should explore.
There is some construction equipment and debris going on but  am sure it's only to improve and maintain on going issues within the bush.
  We enjoyed our stay for this weekend and will be back.   Thank you!     

We loved it!

We took our  RV there last year stayed 5 days on the River.We had an amazing time Brian the owner was great to help with anything needed .One day we spent on the beach with paddle boats had a picnic and swam were able to paddle right up to the falls.The walking trails were great to see the other falls there as well. Staff was great recommend to anyone.

Amazing stay

Had the best camping experience here! It’s not just a normal campsite. Bc u  can do a lot of things here like, trail, water sports, bonfire etc. If you want a real camping experience and not “pretend “ camping u should definitely book a spot here!!! 

The staff and the owner are very accommodating and very nice as well. 

Just follow the rules and you wont have problem and the over all experience i’d say The BeSt!!!

High falls bay

High Falls Bay is a uniquely amazing place to stay at, but it may not be fun for everyone (and that's probably why you see some one stars here). It is fair to say it is very different from other camping areas, especially provential ones. It offers way more than a typical campground -- with a diverse set of options to stay at (e.g., beachfront and wilderness campsites, cottages), a waterpartk, and a pretty nice waterfall. There are rules, however, that Brian (owner and manager of the area) asks you to follow. The rules are mostly about garbage disposal and and not damaging the area, which make a lot of sense. If you follow these rules, you will have the best time and create a wonderful memory for yourself and your family/friends. If you break things and/or try to be stubborn about your misdoing, Brian may charge you extra (which he warns you when you sign up for your stay). I have been to this place 6 times and have been charged on my 5th visit - and that totally made sense to me. I will definitely stay at this place at least once every Summer.

This park is great, beautiful views lots to do and the owner Brian was great always willing to help. He likes to get to know his residents and will gladly show you where the best sites are.
They are aware of issues with the online booking so I would strongly suggest you call to book and confirm your sites. 
We were not aware of site deposit but this is implemented to curtail roudy activity. I had no problem getting it back.

Great experience

AMAZING Campground, Beautiful Location Definitely Coming back! The Owner Brian has some great plans for this place !!! Definitely will be recommending, some of these if not all of the negative reviews written on here are so biased and full of lies and stupidity, like the one about someone saying their needs to be signs where not to paddle board, well if your stupid enough to paddle close to the waterfall or too far down stream the campground is not responsible for your lack of common sense and stupidity, This Park Is Clean , and Again as I said in development! Take it all for what it’s worth it’s an amazing location and a beautiful view to wake up to every morning!

AMAZING Campground, Beautiful Location

My family and I had a lovely time at the campground. We were able to stay at a waterfront site, it was gorgeous. We were on a nice sandy beach right off our site. Sites are also well treed, good sizes, relatively private and the view if the waterfalls are stunning.

Staff went out if their way to help us settle in and be comfortable. Trail to the waterfall is great fun, with beautiful muskoka rocks and landscape.
It’s true the washrooms are portable outhouses, but really no different from one’s at an ontario park  in function.

We had a lovely visit and will be back.

Nice weekend

We just spent four days and with 3 families and 12 children and we had a blast.  Camping right on the sandy beach beside the river meant we didn't have to carry supplies to a beach as is the case in Provincial Parks.   Everything we needed was right there because our camp was right on the river.  The children were in the water from morning until night.  They had a shared slide on from a dock and their own private floating ring and dock.  The owner, Brian, popped in to see if everything was well and he was eager to assist in any way possible.  We used our own toilet in the camper though the outhouse nearby was clean.  Garbage is cleared daily and DO recycle!

The trails through the bush up to the High Falls waterfall are a great nature experience.  And have I mentioned the ambiance with the White Pine trees towering overhead?  Trees so big around that two men would not be able to reach around the trunk! 
A daily trip to the main beach was a highlight. We could swing on a rope swing out into the river.  There are kayaks, and paddleboats, a trampoline, and a launch pad. We helped blow it up with the vacuum.  
 We also rode bikes up to the Generating Station owned by Bracebridge power.  Great to see waterpower being used for electricity.  Clean and green.  
We will definitely go back.  This was our second visit.

Amazing holiday at High Falls Bay campground

I'd say it's best to come here with a "Provincial Park" mindset. Very good for camping, dark skies great for stargazing, and a short trail to the falls. A beautiful location.

We came as 4 families with 8 kids total. We also set up a 2 bench food setup. Despite that, we were able to keep our site clean and get back our deposit.  Not a good fit for people with the cleanliness of children. 

However, it is a campground 5 minutes away from Bracebridge, so there are some amenities. Additional supplies are easily stocked up from the nearby Walmart, or possibly some more local stores if you're willing to go into Bracebridge proper. Depending on the volume, the main washrooms can take some time to be cleaned. It IS family run though, with a majority of the staff being the owner's family. Hot water is readily available, for both the shower and the communal sink at the front of it.

The owner, Brian, was friendly and professional, coming by campsites to check on guests, set up the waterpark for the kids, or chat in the early morning before doing the day's campground and cottage upkeep.

Since the staff is family run, it can take some time to bump into staff to get some assistance. Good to be proactive in asking, as they are responsive.

Provincial Park Lite

Really not a great experience, was not what was advertised, no pump out station unless you have portable pump out, after we were told we could. “water park” is run down and a lot of broken things on shore..even guest have to pay for the beach. Dog poop on the beach, our lot didn’t have hydro it had to be ran from another site..had to take children off site to use a proper clean beach. very unorganized. Not once did we see Owner to speak to or ask how things were.
