I read a review on here that this motel looked like something out of a 70s horror movie, and that's when I knew I had made the right decision to go. It is the perfect, classic kitschy, smokey old inn with a drink tray that instructs you how to eat lobster, and photographs of fancy rooms over the beds that ironically juxtapose the vibe of the room. To top it all off, there is a pear tree out front that offers a free continental breakfast for people on the go. Loved it!

Perfect For What It Is!

Had been here 11 yrs ago , new owners now , same basic layout , budget style . Helpful owners , reasonable rate ...we stayed one night ..near road , so some noise ..not bad ..we had a thunderstorm and motel was full by early evening , guess folks getting off road as the storm came through ..Have to go into town for amenities , food etc, places close around 8pm  ..not far 7 mins drive maybe ....

Travelling , looking for budget accomodation.

I personally find it hard to believe anyone could possibly think this place was excellent or good. They must have had the numerical rating reversed. 
Had the misfortune of staying in Rm 9 on September 13/18. It stunk of mould and smoke even though front desk argued it was a no-smoking room.  The carpet was filthy and badly stained. The back of the door looked like a crime scene with black sooty smudge prints all over it. Apparently the washrm was being renovated so no plate on switches. Would have asked for bathrm to be cleaned but no answer when I went to front desk so had to thoroughly clean a very dirty toilet, sink and floor. Didn't even consider using the shower. No deadbolt on either front or back door so slept with chairs propped under handle. 
Unless you enjoy filth, please stay away.

Had some concerns when I booked. Should not have worried!
Small, (only 12 rooms,) great location, very clean, lots of hot water, air conditioned, comfortable beds. Only comment, they should upgrade the door locks. We had no problem but if there was an ill tempered patron, or even a crazy Squirel, the key in knob with the inside thumb-turn, would not keep them out. Needs at the very least, a deadbolt. Otherwise, a nice little motel. Not great and not a place to show off. If you want to sleep, it is good.

A place to be...

My partner & I stayed here just for a quick stop one night in room 10. The rooms are absolutely disgusting, they smell of mildew & mould. There are flies constantly swarming around. The room is riddled with spiders& ants. Spiders are everywhere, whether it be daddy long legs or the small little jumping spiders. My partner had decided to use the bathroom the one night we were there & to his complete and utter disbelief he looked down by the base of the toilet and saw a literal cluster of ants. We immediately called the front office, asked them to get rid of the ants, they only proceeded to help after I told them I would be calling the health inspector and making a formal complaint. They then proceeded to get us out of the motel saying it would only take an hour, so we left took about an hour and a half for dinner, got back to the motel only to be told that we weren’t allowed back in our room for another hour. Keep in mind that this was all at about 9 or 10 o’clock at night. 
It’s filthy, run down & looks to be something out of a horror movie done in the 70’s. The staff are rude, racist, as well as disrespectful & derogatory. 
If I were you, I’d stay away from these people & this Inn at all costs.

Deplorable & Grotesque.

Outside looks decent,  inside room looked like a place to be murdered. Disgusting decor, looks like the room burned down a long time ago.  Holes in the wall,  door doesn't lock properly,  burned and dirty walls.  Doesn't look like its ever been cleaned.  Stay here only if you are running from the mafia. They will never suspect you would stoop this low.  Look, just work a little overtime and spring for a better hotel,  ok?

You deserve better

All the negative reviews are true. I don't know what motel the good review was of but it wasn't this one. The pictures shown are not at this motel. The staff was very friendly and the free WiFi was great . The fridge was also cold and clean, but that's where it ends. Carpet was stained and dirty.I wouldn't walk on it with bare feet. The micro wave was dirty and had dried food on the outside of the door. The room had a terrible stench. The room was crowded and no where to move. Had a table but no chairs to sit at it. large couch in the room was stained and dirty. I wouldn't sit on it. The sheets on the bed were clean but the blanket had burn holes in it. There were electric baseboard heaters  but you wouldn't dare turn them on they were so full of dust and dirt and lint...The shower dripped continuously Hardly any towels. No shampoo or conditioner.Rooms have a front and a back door. When you open them to air out the room, a ton of bugs get in. Spider webs everywhere. Room hasn't seen a vacuum in many years I'd say. Small old fashion tv. Very poor lighting. Toilet seat cover was covered with black mold. Wall paper torn, dirty, stained. Big sign in the office saying no refunds once you have registered !!!! I don't know why Public health hasn't shut this place down. I was scared to touch anything but managed to make it thru the night and will NEVER go back.
