Stayed overnight after a Shaw Festival play (The Horse and His Boy - awesome performance). I wish I could say the same for the guesthouse. 
We never saw the host during our stay. We picked up our key from a realtor-style lockbox. Ironically, that’s because the house is for sale. 
This is essentially just a room for rent. It is not a bed and breakfast. The walls are thin, you could hear your next door neighbours. No WiFi working though promised by ad. 
AND the room was only 66F when we checked in. We found the thermostat in the hall to warm up the room. Woke up the next morning to 60F thanks to the thermostat setback. 
We wouldn’t stay again. 

Short Spring Visit

The Paris Guest House was a perfect place for us during our stay in Niagara on the Lake.  The location was directly behind the Courthouse building on the main street of town, making it easy to walk to theaters, restaurants, shops, etc.  There are two free parking spaces on one side of the building, but she allowed parking in the driveway if the two were taken.  The house has three guestrooms, a lovely common room with coffee, tea, granola bars and fruit, and two sun rooms with a large, shared refrigerator in one.  The room was large, recently painted, and well decorated with items reminiscent of a B&B in Paris.  It was very clean, comfortable, and towels can be changed every day if you wish.  Note that this is only a guesthouse and breakfast is not provided.  However, there are many great bakeries and restaurants serving breakfast nearby.  The only strange thing, which has been noted in other reviews, is that we did not see our hostess, except when the fire alarm went off due to a bit of smoke in her kitchen.  It would have been nice to have had a chance to meet her during our stay.  It is a great value for the expensive town, and we will happily return in the future.

Location, Location, Location!

Usually I prefer a B & B's to stay in, but this guest house is a great find.  As I recently have changed my diet to vegan, it was best I didn't have the uncomfortable situation to alter my breakfast with a hostess.  The Paris Guest House is a four bedroom home (three rooms for guests), with the innkeeper living on site.  Upon arrival, I retrieved my key from the lock box. Entrance to the guest rooms are on the covered porch side.  One drawback is parking. There are two driveways. One for the owner, and one very short one with only two guest parking spots. So, some guests need to find off street parking. I stayed for two overnights, and I didn't encounter the owner once.  My room was equipped with all the amenities. Bathroom was very large, had shampoos, soaps, hairdryers, extra towels, and adsorbent terrycloth robe. I had 2 water bottles in my room however a bonus feature is the full size refrigerator, located in main living area, for guests to use with additional cold bottled water.  So it is very possible to bring some groceries with you and enjoy during your stay.  Johnson street is well lit and I felt very safe walking back from the theater late evenings.  The real beauty of this guest house is the location. You are just blocks from all the reasons you came to NOTL!

Right Around the Corner from Town

We had a pleasant stay at this boutique guest house. There's a nice little Paris theme
going on. There was lots of bottle water in the large fridge and plenty of coffee and an assortment of herbal teas including mint, which many places forgot or neglect to put out.
The bed was worn out and I mentioned it to the proprietor. I was blown away when she replaced it the same day and thanked us for letting her know of this deficiency in the room. That's service. We stay in the front room and had an amazing and quiet night's sleep. Great place. s

We recently spent Thanksgiving with friends at this lovely cozy guest house. the house is located just behind the shops and theatres--the location was perfect.We parked our cars and never needed to drive anywhere. 
In the house, we found the rooms and the common areas very comfortable and well maintained. The rooms were all  immaculate.  Coffee, tea and fruit were provided, but this is not a bed and breakfast so we went out for breakfast--there were plenty of breakfast restaurants very close. 
We will go back to the Paris House again!
