What a great experience. Stopped in for a lunchtime snack and enjoyed the atmosphere and talking with the friendly staff. The menu looks great although we tried the simple beef taco and quesadilla with some mexican rice. Based on that we will be back to sample some of the main dishes. The Cantina bar also looked great so there are opportunities for restaurant and patio dining. In an area where many of the restaurants have very simiolar offerings Tacos and Tequila stands out.

A great experience

Food here is amazing. Any Mexican food that you have had before it is better here. The owner and his wife are from Mexico and they personally make the food. There margaritas and other drinks are fantastic. Mexican beer, yes. You should call for reservations as this restaurant is really busy.

Homemade Mexican food at its best

Our family of 14 people ages from 4 to 70 enjoyed a wonderful lunch.  The food was very tasty and the drinks were very much enjoyed by the adults.  Our server, Amy did a very good job of looking after our boisterous group!  We had a wonderful time and hope to go back again.  Highly recommend a meal in the gazebo for a larger group.

Lunch for 14 people

My wife and I had been here earlier just after Covid and everything was excellent, so we decided to go with our daughter today. Excellent service again and as usual, great food. Freshly made with the best ingredients. Served hot. Fernando and his wife are excellent hosts. Also a wonderful drive through the forest on the winding road. If you like great Mexican food this is the place to eat.

Excellent service, amazing food

Newly opened, this is a hidden gem. We were able to sit on the patio on this unseasonably warm Nov day. Will return with friends to enjoy their Mexican food and friendly, fast service. Liked that their gluten free items were well marked on the menu.

Tacos and Tequila restaurant is now located at this site. Great Mexican food and service. Lots of gluten free options.

We have not stayed at the Inn as we live in Port Dover, but the restaurant is really good...if you like authentic style Mexican dishes. We have been there three times this summer and NEVER disappointed. The owner Maria (from Puerto Vallarta Mexico) is very friendly and has chatted with us at our table each visit.

I found out this was a new ownership and was now a Mexican menu. Being a lover of Mexican food and being disappointed at several "Mexican" restaurants in Canada that can't even make guacamole, we were reluctant to try it, but I must say it is the best we have tried anywhere outside of Mexico, hands down.

Also the Margaritas are real, not made with a sweet mix, or crappy tequila. The menu is mainly taco dishes on corn tortillas and also taquitos, enchiladas, chimichangas, tacos, etc. with hamburgers if you don't want Mexican...

I have seen many poor reviews about this business, but please be aware this is new ownership and is NOTHING like the previous menu at all...IT'S DELICIOUS!

We will be visiting again this week for sure. If you love Mexican food - Go Here!

Restaurant is Awesome

It was a very nice place to stay. Room was clean and cozy and there was a separate entrance from the main house, making it very private. It is only a 5 min drive to Turkey Point and there are lots of trails around and a small beach at a walking distance. Maria is available if need be and is very friendly. Would highly recommend it and I will definitely return if ever in the area again.

Very nice and cozy place to stay

We were trying to find 2 rooms along Lake Erie shoreline and this little place popped up. It was everything you imagine when you think of a nice little boutique B&B in small town Canada. 
We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our rooms and all the other facilities available to us. We didn't have a proper meal in the restaurant as we had overindulged rather a lot over the course of  the previous 2 1/2 weeks. We opted for a drink and a piece of home made pumpkin pie and peach cake which were all delicious.
When we came back from our walk around the village and lake shore we sat in the dining room for guests and drank hot chocolate out of proper mugs.
The rooms were small compared with the chain hotels but they had everything we needed and were lovely and clean.
Breakfast was wonderful. Fruit juice, home made banana bread, toast and proper porridge with fruit. We aren't coffee drinkers but our friend is and she enjoyed her two cups of coffee. 
Delightful little place that I would happily return to if we are in the area again. 

A great little find

The food was excellent as was the service. Our server was very personable and cheerful. The view out the back was wonderful seeing all the birds and chipmunks. This restaurant is so much better than David's in Port Dover!

Great lunch

A very fun little restaurant in a small charming town. Service was a bit slow, but my margarita made up for that in a hurry. Neat spot, chickens running around in the very nice gardens. Tacos were very tasty and we were surprised with free chips and corn dip. Nice spot to sit and relax, the Mexican music made it all the better.
