This is a charming place. We were upgraded on arrival to a suite so that was a real bonus! 
The hostess called on us to make sure we were happy. 
Great to have so much space, if only for one night. 
We ate in the next door restaurant for both dinner and breakfast.

Charming Place

the accommodation was quite clean and comfortable BUT RECEPTION was TERRIBLE after a four-hour car trip, was told the manager/owner "is coming" and 5 minutes later again "I SAID she's coming, here's her handbag !!!" and I merely replied that the handbag does also not seem willing to talk to me ..... on leaving this morning when we had to return the keys to the restaurant, the lady was exceptionally hostile and very clearly racist - my partner is also from Africa - and some of the locals snickered and shook their heads ..... we simply CAN NOT recommend this place to anyone ..... how terribly, terribly UN-CANADIAN !!! Terrible Reception and even WORSE

The moment we entered the room we were assaulted with a dank musty smell.  The decor, from the 1980’s could use some updating.  Too much clutter with knick knacks EVERYWHERE. The mattress appeared to be comfy but it was like laying down in a canoe….all night long rolling towards the middle.  

Checkin is at the restaurant next door to the BnB so the restaurant staff were hurried and we felt like we were bothering them as they were bringing out food and and taking payment from their diners.  There was no privacy checking in as you’re in the midst of many diners. Definitely NOT a good fit for us!

Not great.

I have no real complaints about this hotel and also no real interest in returning. I would look at other options on a return to the area. Having said that, everything in the room was fine. Decor was dated.

last minute stop

We like to take the bed and breakfast for the relationship side and the exchanges with our host. This is the first time we don't meet people. We took the key to our room at the restaurant right next door and then you can get yourself into the house already (we worked hard to open the main door while we had to take the side access) You don't feel welcome... about the room was perfect.

It's not personal.

Indeed, the hostel is attached to the owner's restaurant, but that's fine. Very well located in Bouctouche and close to other restaurants if you don't feel like eating at the hostel. Courteous but expressive home from the hostess. The rooms are clean and equipped with what is needed for a short stay. The room air conditioner is very noisy and you absolutely have to shut it down to sleep. The service in the restaurant is very friendly and warm. Very ordinary lunch.

The Squirrel One Night

We stayed here for a wedding July 2016 and was pleasantly surprised with our accommodations. We stopped on the way to pick up coffee and a coffee maker, wine glasses, but when we arrived all this was provided.  Clean, friendly, and a great breakfast. A great find

Everything you need

We stayed at this place for 7 days end of June.  Carole was very helpful. This place has a wonderful walking path around the baie that starts behind the pharmacy across the street. It is 1.5 hrs normal walking and is well indicated. Nearby is the irving arboretum - what we visited on a rainy day.  We went to Parlee beach in Shediac from here but the parking there was about $15. Nice beach. Everyday, we went to the IRVING ECO-CENTRE, LA DUNE DE BOUCTOUCHE. Parking is free and it is important to walk about 10-15mins from the welcome center to get a wonderful beach.  The Sagouine restaurant offers delicious meals. Staff were very helpful and kind.  We took the suite in #5: 2 rooms that includes a closet.  We brought my senior Mom and there was ample space for all. WIFI is excellent. Very clean and comes with a veranda.  Be sure to visit the ice scream place 10 mins away walking.  Great place. If we were closer we would visit more often.  Thank you Carole and you made our vacation wonderful!

excellent hospitality, location, meals

Had a very comfy stay, nice and clean room, good breakfast 
and great dinner in the evening! Hope I did not disturb anyone being an early bird taking a shower... Think the water system might be a big noisy!

We stayed at this B&B for it's central location to the downtown area as well as a short 20 minute walk to the Pays de la Sagouine.  The B&B has approx. 5 rooms with 2 rooms on the second floor (sharing a nice small outdoor deck).  The room were very clean and nicely equipped with AC, LCD TV, and many other amenities.
