We spent four nights at Lonely Rocks Seaside Bungalows in July and were very happy with our accommodations.   We rented a one bedroom bungalow which included a kitchen, living/dining room. bath, and a patio with bbq.   It was beautifully appointed and decorated and we felt at home right away.  All kitchen supplies were provided with some basic condiments i.e. tea, coffee, salt, pepper, vinegar, etc which was appreciated.  The bathroom had ample towels and toiletries also greatly appreciated.  After many days of motels and hotels it was wonderful to feel like we were home enjoying a bbq.  Conny checked with us daily to see if we needed anything and was a godsend when we needed to have the rear brakes done on our car.  She supplied us with several phone numbers nearby which resulted in a quick repair job the next day.   We would absolutely recommend Lonely Rock to anyone wanting to get away in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia - the pictures attached show the beautiful landscape of their property and the gorgeous views.   We have already booked again for next year.

A home away from home in Nova Scotia

How relaxing! Well equipped, well situated, peaceful, well-managed.
Two nights was not enough: I could stay for two weeks. Full kitchen and fridge, carpeted bedroom, nice loo, couch and dining area fine too.
It's in New Harbour, regardless of the mailing address, so drive to New Harbour, not Larry's River.
It's not worn-out, crampt, smelly or dull, which the other cottages we rented were one of the above.  And price was good-value: sure you can get fine cabins at double the price, but this cabin at this price and location was our favourite.

Best cabin out of five we rented on a three-week trip to the Maritimes

We stayed here Oct 20-22th.  The cottages are lovely and have everything you can think of needing.  We were only here both nights to sleep as we did a little bit of touring around the area during the days.  Connie, the owner was very friendly and helpful.  The cottages are situated on the top of a hill overlooking the water and you will be able to hear the waves from your front door.  So peaceful! 
Just a side note - be sure to bring any food supplies you will need as the closest store, restaurant is about 30 minutes away.

Peaceful getaway

We had a one night stay here on our trip round the maritimes and can recommend it. The cabin was very clean and well equipped with views over the coast. We enjoyed a peaceful evening having stocked up before we came as recommended. We couldn't sit outside due to the weather but were able to have a walk on the beach opposite. Just as advertised the cabins are in the country so only come if you like peace and quiet- we loved it!!

We were fortunate to find Lonely Rock while surfing the internet for places to stay during a week long motorcycle trip around Nova Scotia.  The owner Connie was wonderful to work with in booking our trip and very helpful once we arrived.  The bungalow was extremely clean and had all the amenities we needed including good wi-fi.  Across the street is a path to the beach where the lonely rock lies.  Was nice to walk the beach front and see the sea birds floating a bit off-shore.  Caution to those considering staying here - the location is remote so bring food to prepare with you as it is a long distance to any stores/restaurants - 20-30 min.

A wonderfully remote Nova Scotia retreat

Great place friendly people, comfortable beds, fluffy towels, awesome beach just across the road what more could you ask for. Very clean comfortable , fully equipped  a true Nova Scotia experience to share with family and friends
