This is the second time I stayed at this guest house, the first time I was on my own travelling around Ontario and was nervous in stopping somewhere by myself when I’m from England and don’t know anyone in Ottawa but it wasn’t bad at all stopping here.
The second time I was with my boyfriend and we only stayed for one night and booked a double room with our own bathroom, the room we got had a double bed, table and chair, tv, fridge and a rather spacious bathroom with shower. We even had a balcony that we could sit on outside :) 
In the morning we went in for breakfast as it’s included in the price and what a breakfast it was.....pancakes and syrup, boiled eggs, Tim Hortons muffins, fresh orange juice and tea or coffee, this was all delicious!!!
The next day when we checked out our bus wasn’t until 2:30pm but the receptionist let us leave our bags and come back and collect them before our bus was due so we could still explore the city without our suitcases.
Had two lovely stays here as it’s not The Ritz but you get what pay for and for the price the room was good and the breakfast was even better :)

Excellent place to stay !

The owners were very kind, welcoming and understanding.

The stench of urine, damage to the unit and violent psychotic rambling of a long term resident of the above unit, was however, unsettling.

While not an issue for me they also did not share that there was no breakfast in the AM due to Covid until after I paid for the room by instructing me to read a paper notice above their desk which I never would have read or noticed.

Nice owners, sub optimal situation

This guest house has good people and great breakfast. Rooms is a different story, looks like they a re trying to move out or close the business. So it was OK for us to stay this time, but I will not be back to this property again

Good Breakfast and friendly staff

Highly not recommended. The wife of the owner was extremely rude and disrespectful. I had a guest come over while I packed a bag for a walk and the wife barged into my room yelling at my guest and myself. Hot water was off for 4 out of 7 days I stayed here.

No thank you

Dirty, unhealty and horrible. We booked for the room with private bathroom but you can access to the bathroom from the corridor and the room from it. Found a weird bug walking on the moquette and took outside. The heating is central and in the room you have at least 27°C.

Completely different from the pictures

The online description and pictures of this facility are very misleading....it was nothing like how it is described online! The facility looks and feels like a crush bed place. Filthy through and through and the single staff member was unfriendly and behaved like he didnt want to be there.
Would NOT recommend this facility to any traveller.

Horrible place to stay

Booked 5 nights based on website photo and information for end of May 2018. Arrived late afternoon to downtown area that looked questionable. Front door window had phone number to call,{not one from website}, door bell didn't work, door locked, No one in bldg!! A young man,{not the Owner}, showed up from another bldg down the street, let us into hot and humid house, No A/C on at all. Passed small room with a couple of small table/chairs and a table with a large tray of muffins!! Who knows how long they'd been there. "Breakfast" sign read 8-10am. Given "Upgrade" rooms, block down street, 3 flights up, in another exceedingly hotter/ stuffier set of rooms. The whole place looked very "Sketchy"/unsafe/ very unhealthy as I had troubles breathing. When owner contacted later about this, was told to turn the A/C {window box unit}, on full. My daughter and I were not impressed. Found another, much better hotel, shortly afterwards and cancelled this place!!! Didn't care for owner's attitude or the young man's lack of interest/concern, also didn't seem to know much about what to do when people cancel after seeing this place. Not sure when or if Health inspectors check these places out, but I would definitely NOT want to eat 
any thing that has been sitting around in that hot main house. Doubt that
anyone else was ion the main house as guest since the place was locked up. AM supposed to get 4 of the 5 nights reimbursed, just waiting for it to get sent out to me.
