We were so lucky to find this "home away from home" where we stayed a week, and wished it were longer!
Gained: weight from excellent breakfasts; knowledge about wildlife 'secret' beauty spots and history from Bill; and lots of 'hugs' from Bruno, their lovely dog.
Every day we saw many species of birds, including flocks of Quail, and that was just in the garden! Also rabbits and four young stags from the deck.
And it was so quiet and peaceful - thank you Janine, Bill and Bruno for a super vacation.

Straight View of Grateful Guests

Lovely B&B on Otter Point Road in Sooke.  Janine and Bill are welcoming hosts, and are knowledgeable about the surrounding area and offer good suggestions.  Our room was clean and comfortable, and the deck had an amazing view of the Strait.  Breakfasts were fresh and filling.  The scenery in the area is amazing so stay longer than you think!

A variety of rooms, ours being two separate bedrooms sharing a bathroom.  Was perfect for my sister and I.  Full Breakfast was ordered from a menu with a variety of choices....Bill and Janine were very hospitable and welcoming.  We loved the variety of birds feeding at the bird feeder outside the dining room window.  The location allows for convenience up Island to Port Renfrew and close by to Victoria and area.  There are more attractions like China Beach that we would like to explore so plan on returning.

Charming Sooke B&B

We stayed 2 nights August 18th and 19th 2018. Upon arrival we were delighted with the view and accommodations. They were knowledgeable about the surrounding area. We found ourselves taking in a few hikes upon their suggestion and instantly fell in love with the area.  Our rooms were clean , tidy and very welcoming after a day of adventure. They cooked up a great breakfast and made us feel at home. We would stay here again , for sure!

Perfect Weekend in Sooke

We stayed 2 nights this August and were delighted with the accommodations. Bill and Janine know how to run a B&B. The breakfasts were filling and tasty: scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon, toast, blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup, juice, yoghurt, good coffee and lots of fresh fruits The room with a shared bath was small but worked out for us. Bill is fun to talk to and quite informed about the local area. Monty is a fine,  calm dog that nudges up gently to you for a pet...or don't, your choice.

Everything just right!

This place is a find worth bookmarking.
From the moment we drove up our smiles got bigger and bigger.  The B&B is immaculate, warm, friendly and inviting.  This of course, comes from the owners Janine and Bill.

If your hosts suggest a place to dine at or visit, be sure to listen.  Their suggestions enhanced our trip immensely.  

When we left, I felt as if we were leaving dear family relatives.  We are already planning a return.  Love, love, love this place.

Oh yes, the best breakfast of any B&B was already included in cost of stay.

Holiday in Sooke

I was there on July 27, 2018. What a beautiful, homey B & B. The decor was amazing, with their life long collection of art, delicate cups and saucers, there is an excellent library. 
The garden was beautiful, many natural coastal plants, I saw various birds that were amazing, and would hover on the shrubbery outside the dining room window. The breakfast was hot and delicious. The hospitality was excellent. The view of the ocean was so relaxing, sitting outside on the patio.

Amazing Straitview B & B place

We very much enjoyed our stay. The Sunset Suite had plenty of room for the three of us and it was comfortable and well-equipped. The view of the strait from the deck was fabulous. Breakfasts were both copious and delicious. Bill and Janine were very kind hosts, providing lots of useful information about the area.
