Even if I want to find a problem, I'm noticing able. Location amazing, breakfast good, staff really nice, room big and clean. It's just amazing, nothing else to add. 
I don't know who wrote other reviews what they want but it's just wow

Just amazing

My friend and I spent 2 nights just this past weekend and we really enjoyed it.  We had a large double room with 2 queen beds and a large bathroom.  The beds were very comfortable and clean room.  The staff were very welcoming and even picked us up from the Bus Depot.  Most of the staff speak English so no language problems.  The continental breakfast was very good with selections for everyone.  Location is great with boutiques and restaurants close by and within walking distance to the pier for whale watching, etc.  I plan on going back next year with another one of my friends when she visits from England.

Pleasantly Surprised

This place is budget friendly and your expectations need to keep that in mind.

We were given a lovely welcome and the owner took a lot of time showing us where everything was on the map (including recommendations of where to eat).

The room is basic but ours was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. It was also the only room we stayed in during our whole road trip where we could log into streaming services to watch tv in the evenings.

The one thing we struggled with was the heat. The small fan was not enough to cool the room. One of the window shades was broken so we couldn’t leave that open at night for fear of being devoured by mosquitoes. Therefore we didn’t get the best sleep.

Budget friendly with great service

Room is very old and had specific smell from the draining tubes in the toilet. Dirty, tv didn't work.
Because it's located close to ferry, there is a good chance to wake up at night as it's noisy sometimes. This hotel is located on a highway, across the town, thus if you're traveling with little kids or elderly people, get ready to use your car every day , as walking distance to downtown will be too long for them.
We saw better looking accommodations in a nicer location. 

Not worth of risking your vacation

We sent two nights at this B&B, we had Two bedroom one queen bed and two twin beds, to much Colors in the rooms and dry flowers how collect the dust, you can’t open the window and the seizing fan was cover with dust. The bed sheets are clean and they have good towels. The breakfast is very basic (white, brown and raisin bread from the corner store, box cereals, hard boiled eggs (cold) jam, peanut butter, coffee and tea. Not the king of breakfast who expect in a B&B.

Old B&B desapointing

The building is very old. Everything creaked, from floorboards to bed. Bathroom was very outdated, and you barely had space to sit on the toilet.
Receptionist was not very friendly. We were not granted access to a fridge to store 2-3 things, they also don't have a barbecue.
Breakfast is very limited - there is nothing salty apart from cream cheese, and almost no protein. All the pastries are cooked the previous afternoon - they smell great then, but are rock-hard come morning. 
Quite expensive too - I know this is the case in Tadoussac, but this was so not worth it!
In the end, we had a place to sleep. Would not come again and would not recommend, though.

Disappointing

At 150$ per night is absolutely the worst ever room I've ever had. Me and my wife we travel a lot everywhere on the world ... we have visited poor countries and I've never have a room like this ... unfortunately it was a last minute reservation and I didn't have to many choices. 
Some of you will probably think ... this guy for some reasons is not happy :-) and is exaggerating ... be my guest and try yourself. Usually in Canada and Quebec you have good services and good conditions to travel but not at La Maison Gauthier.
