My husband and I went to the restaurant. I had the salmon. They doused it in milk sauce! It was utterly surprising as on the menu their chicken has milk sauce. My salmon was barely edible! No one said anything to me as I ate this weird combination.  I’m sooo disappointed in this restaurant. Make sure if you go, you are ready for anything! And DONT order the salmon!! 

Ummm……confusing!

We have enjoyed dining at the Naramata Inn a number of times over the last few years, experiencing the amazing food prepared by chef, Ned Bell. Tonight we were disappointed. I ordered the pork and that was what you got, a big plate of pork with no potatoes or vegetable, just meat. I expect better at a fine dining restaurant. The desert was so so. And then we were over-charged. Nothing ever stays the same - too bad. 

Disappointing

This a very charming and elegant inn located near many wineries in the okanagan area and near the lake. The room is well decorated and very comfortable. The inn has its own restaurant which we found to be excellent and well priced given the quality of the food. The breakfast each morning was very good. Their scones and other baked goods were amazing. The entire staff were very accommodating and helpful. @ small drawbacks. Room cleaning was ok, not great and since it is an older building you can hear the people in the room next to you. otherwise I would not hesitate to recommend this inn to anyone who wants to visit the okanagan.  

Very nice stay in the okaangan.

Dinner at the restaurant. Ate here last year and had an excellent meal. This year - Expensive. Pretentious. Disappointing. Appetizer, duck liver pie, very good. Main course, halibut disappointing. Overcooked and served in an insipid tasteless 'emulsion'. Needed a microscope to see the vegetables. Not worth the price.

Disappointing dinner

My wife and I were at the Naramata Inn, in the Eliza wine bar for a drink and appetizer. We sat at the bar. We met Joe the bartender, a truly engaging fellow. We ended up staying for dinner. We had an excellent meal, who’d a thought beef cheeks could taste so good. We later meet Maryann another wonderful member of the staff. We had a great evening. I would highly recommend the Naramata inn to stay or at least to enjoy a dinner out.

Excellent time at the Eliza wine bar

What an incredible visit this beautiful heritage Inn to celebrate a friend’s birthday!  We had cocktails in the cosy wine bar Eliza to start. We finished with a superb 3 course dinner with impeccable service. We will return next month to celebrate another birthday and stay over. Many thx 🙏

Special place

I love the Naramata Inn (our stay October 15,16,17/22). The Inn bills itself as a restaurant with rooms. It is that, but it’s a lot more than that too. It’s a 110 year old building with a veranda, upstairs balcony surrounding balcony, gorgeous wood everywhere, an accommodating staff and a dining room to die for. The rooms are small, except the king rooms, but the bathrooms are lovely.

Restaurant: whatever the chefs are doing in that kitchen, please keep doing it. We had beets, the Steelhead trout, the delicious bread and chocolate cake. Still my heart! So beautifully cooked with excellent service. We only wished we could have gone in on another evening and had just one course; we’re geezers and can’t eat a full meal every evening. The wine bar wasn’t open as an alternative.

Breakfast: all round delicious except the two last mornings there was too much granola and not enough yogurt; the proportions were off. Pastries? Bread? Both Astoundingly delicious!

Standout team members:

Pastry chef! Unbelievably good pastries and bread. We’ve eaten pastries extensively over long periods in Europe and never had better than these.

A Special Place

We were 2 couples in the 2 bedroom suite, we were paying 950.00 a night .only 1 small bathroom ..no closets for our clothes , no air condition..no view. Had to keep the drapes close otherwise people could see us.. breakfast was granola and yogurt and a pastry.
No white tablecloths or flowers in the dining room .. the lattés were lukewarm ..ran out of one of the choices on the set menu etc etc
Was so looking forward to going there ,what a terrible let down for all of us

Set in a century old, mission-style hotel it’s the perfect setting for a world class escape to wine country! It remains one of my favourite and top 20 dining experiences in Canada! 🇨🇦🏆

Always an impressive culinary experience at the Naramata Inn

We spent two nights at Naramata Inn as part of a three week road trip.
We had one of the king rooms which was plenty big enough for us - including all our luggage! Lovely to have a balcony to be able to sit out and try some of the wine bought from the vineyards. 
As others have said there are no fridges in the rooms, but the staff were happy to either chill wine that we’d bought, or provide a full ice bucket.
We originally booked just to dine at the inn for our first night, but enjoyed the food, service and surroundings so much that we ate there both nights. Great food, with a fixed price for either two or three courses. We ended up sharing a starter, main each and then a shared dessert.
Naramata is a lovely little town, general store does great ice cream, and a couple of coffee shops too.
The inn was quiet and so relaxing, and just a short walk to the lake. We loved our stay. Thank you !
