I read some reviews on this motel and I was impressed..the reviews don't do it justice..Jeet, takes so much pride in this establishment it's incredible.  I enjoy spending my money at independent owners and this place was well worth every dollar..  Haters will always hate . Will stay there again when visiting the area. Thanks again Jeet..

Excellent.

This motel was inexpensive and such a pleasure to stay at.  Friendly, superior service from management.Our room was very clean, quiet, and outfitted well. Also, the motel is centrally located to all amenities. Our trip was short but we will definitely return for a longer stay.

Wonderful stay!

We drove to Penticton to find not one room was ready and construction was still taking place at another Motel.  We were at the mercy of the owners of the Flamingo Motel.  They went beyond and were able to give us a room with a Stove, Fridge, micro etc.   Very helpful and we will be forever thankful.  Awesome Pool, BBQ's although we did not use it's there to be used.  Very Quiet and Peaceful.   Close to all that Penticton offers.

Our Trip was save by the Management of the Flamingo Motel

My friends and I stayed for one night at the Flamingo Motel and the entire experience was a delight! Kris and Her husband Tom run the motel and treat their guests with kindness and respect, it truly feels like an oasis when you’re traveling on the road. All smiles and laughter! The pool is awesome and the beds are super comfortable! We walked in and saw we had great amenities like a kitchenette, fully stocked, ÀC, TV, lovely stuff :) Thanks for everything, Kris!

Fantastic!

My friend and I grabbed a room with two beds and a kitchenette for 3 nights. The couple who operate the place were both helpful and gregarious. 
We managed to lock ourselves out the first day we were here, and the owner was quick (and jovial) about helping us out.

100% would stay again. If you're looking for a modest price, and some bang for your buck, this is the place!

Great place for the rate, friendly staff

We drove into the driveway and thought OMG...once we met the lady at check in and she showed us her humour we were a bit relaxed. She upgraded us to a two room two queen size beds for no extra charge.  We got to the room and were surprised at the size and cleanliness.  Was nicer than it looks from the outside.  With the clean pool and barbecue area it’s worth the stay!  

Wine tasting trip

We stayed at the Flamingo Motel for two nights in July 2019 because we were looking for an inexpensive place to crash and this motel met the requirement. The best things about this motel: 1. it has concrete cinder block walls, so we did not hear any noise from the neighbouring units; 2. the location is one block to Tim Hortons and two blocks to Real Canadian Superstore. But you will not be walking to the the beach. This is basically a one star motel perfect for one or two nights if you are not willing to spend more money on better accommodation. It's clean enough.

Our room was reasonably clean but dated. No hair dryer. Barely any heat so we were cold but this wouldn't be an issue in summer. Bed was comfy. Good summer budget motel. Probably wouldn't have stayed here had there been any rooms left at Ramada! But again it was unseasonably cold for March.

Booked this hotel through Hotel.com for the annual Peach City Cruise. First time in Penticton. 

All of the pictures are very dated and are not a true depiction of what you’ll pay for. 
I paid a deposit of $450 for a 3 night stay. 
Upon arrival checked in, and then the room was nothing as pictured, burnt out lightbulbs, extension cords everywhere, only one paper thin towel, only one pillow, fridge unplugged, AC didn’t work, no dead bolt on door. 
We were also there for the annual car show and the hotel expected us to park our expensive classic muscle car behind the building in an ally. 
Grounds were filthy with debris and garbage everywhere. 
It was so bad we were prepared to go home. 
Went back to the front desk to request to check out as we did not want to stay. We asked for a refund, the desk clerk adamantly refused. 
I would have been prepared to pay for one night as I understood the late notice policy. 

Contacted hotels.com for a refund and was told that the hotel owner would not cooperate. To this day (May 2020) I did not get a refund. 
To Hotels.com credit, they returned to me the administration fee. 

Pay the extra and stay closer to the peach.

Fortunately we found a room at a nearby hotel, at the much nicer lake front hotel.

The experience from this hotel almost ruined our weekend, thankfully the other hotel came through for us. 

STAY AWAY - CAR GUYS DONT’T BE FOOLED

I have stayed in many motels considered dodgey to save a buck but when I booked a stay here I thought the price would guarantee a solid night’s stay after a long day of driving.

Boy, was I wrong. 

At check-in I was shocked to see my credit card information casually written out on a sheet of paper floating around the front desk. When I questioned this I was told that everyone’s information was stored like this and that it was not a problem. The information had been given to them from Expedia and that they wrote it all out on multiple pieces of paper to avoid doing a preauthorization charge for their guests. Rather than do the preauth they would charge the card after leaving if their was any damage to the room. The staff member then showed me the information for other guests sitting on the desk to try to sway me that this practice was okay and secure... absolutely not. 

At this point I said, I don’t want you storing my information like this and requested to cancel the reservation because this made me uncomfortable and the lady working the front desk had been extremely rude. She refused my request. I asked for the sheets with my credit card information and to do the typical preauthorization for damages. I was given a very hard time about this. I’m 6 months pregnant with little energy for arguing, so I tried to be the bigger person and go get my night’s stay over with. Yeah 

After being given the keys to my room I went to move my vehicle closer to my room but another staff member came out and told me I could not park in the spot I had parked in. There was not a “no parking” or “reserved” sign for the spot. I mentioned it to him and he said it was because people had were staying in the rooms beside the spot and that they would like them. My room was on the second floor and I had many bags to carry up. 

I moved my vehicle to the spots that were further away from my room as requested and began to bring my things upstairs. When I reached my room the light would not turn on. I spent 10 minutes messing with the table lamp connected to the light switch to eventually get the light to turn on. Immediately I noticed the run down state of the room. 

When I ventured down to the parking lot to retrieve my work gear I popped into the office to tell them about the light because I did not want to be dinged for a lamp that did not initially work and had to be reconstructed. The staff offered me another room, I took them up on the offer because I was concerned about the state of the light in my initial room being a fire hazard... I’m not an electrician. Also, I had noticed someone’s stray long black hair in the bed.

The second room had the exact same problem. The light would not turn on, I attempted to turn it on multiple times. This lamp was still in one piece and but it was not turning on. I asked the staff member who had given me a hard time about parking to see if he could get it to work. He fiddled with it and could not get it to work until he realized it was unplugged. As I turned out it had been unplugged because that was the only way to turn it off, the light switch did nothing just made an odd sound. 

At this point I was beyond sketched out. I began checking around 8:30pm after spending the day driving. I just wanted to sleep and go to work in the morning. 

I went down to the Office and requested a refund because I did not feel safe staying somewhere that did not have functional lighting systems. I was offered a third room. I refused. I politely asked for a refund again and the owner then again refused. I told her there would be no way that I would be staying there and that I did not want to fight, I just wanted to go somewhere safe to sleep before having to go to work in the morning. 

Again she tried to get me to stay in a third room, she said business was slow and there would be no refund. Clearly this motel really needed my $112, I told her to keep it and that I would post this review here and on Expedia in hopes that no one else is forced to endure such a ridiculous experience.
