I travel to Penticton with my friend every summer, and Swiss Sunset Inn is always our No1. choice. Price is lower than any other hotels in town. The room is clean and tidy. They offer late night check-in. There are BBQ grills and a POOL!!!!! This is an old motel but they renovate the whole place this year, which is a surprise. The lady who owned this motel is extremely friendly. I would definitely stay there again next year.

Nice Motel, Reasonable Price

Look, it's an old motel that has been cleaned up and well maintained. If you're expecting The Ritz for half the price of the other places in Penticton, you should leave these nice folks alone. If you want an affordable, clean, friendly, nice, place to stay the night while you plan your local adventures, this is the place for you. We arrived several hours before check-in, in the hopes that they would allow us to park on the property while we went for a bike ride, until check-in. Not only did they accommodate that request, but as we prepared for our bike ride, they hustled over to our (upgraded) room and set it up, allowing us to check in several hours early, store our personal items in our room instead of the car, and enjoy our bike trip. Obviously this type of service cannot be accommodated every time, but the ownership clearly wanted to make an extra effort when it was possible, and for that I cannot thank them enough. I will only visit the Swiss Sunset Inn during future trips to Penticton.

Absolute bang for your buck.

The motel is older but has been updated and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The price was a little high for what you get but it was the end of August which is prime time. Would stay again as the owner was helpful plus it is a short drive to the beach.

Good value

we needed a place to stay while we finished getting our townhouse ready for sale. The room we had was dated but clean. the little kitchenette was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans, toaster, kettle etc. our suite had a bedroom with a comfortable double bed. The manager was very nice and there is a lovely clean pool and BBQ's for the guests to use.  I would stay there again if we are in Penticton without our RV.

2 day stay

We used this room as a central location to do various day trips. The room is as minimal as it could get. Cheap mattresses, old faded curtains that were peeling in spots, a microwave, cheap coffee & machine and a full sz fridge with no handle for the fridge part. No table or chairs! An old loves seat sits in the corner by window. The place looked clean but whip back the covers to look at the full bed. Had airco but the filter was completely clogged up so hubby had to clean it. We wanted to watch the news and the tv didn’t work! They run it as cheap as they can. Too bad. Won’t come back

Cheap room

We booked in advance of our travel.  To us, the reviews we read sounded fine.  However, upon driving into the court yard, we realized we needed more information.  It is a spread out facility, which is aging.  Yes, there is a pool, and yes the sheets (although well used) were clean.  We travel a fair amount, and this will remind us to do more research in the future.
