Very comfy room. Excellent bed. Good shower. Do advise hosts of dietary requirements well in advance. Good location for visiting Heritage Quay, which houses excellent displays relating to The Hector ship

2 night B&B stay

We stayed two nights in the Driftwood Suite. It is located at  street level which is good for limited mobility,however the proximity of he room to the street results in increased noise from traffic. It is  the bottom floor and although people above were quiet, every footstep is heard. The room is very clean and a full kitchen is available, however we were told when we checked in,  we were not to cook any fish. Although not in our plans, i would expect this restriction to be in the listing. We called for directions to the B&B half-hour before check-in at 4 pm and were reminded we could not check-in until 4. We had not encountered such a strict policy at any other B&B.

Clean Room

We only spent one night here on our journey from Prince Edward Island to Cape Breton Nova Scotia.
The room was comfortable and cosy, (especially as it was a very wet and chilly day outside)
Breakfast is taken in the kitchen  of the owners ( two lovely ladies, a mother and daughter) with all the other guests staying at the B and B. This made a lovely atmosphere and was great fun to chat to all the other people.

Great fun place

This is a great B & B in the little town of Pictou where we stopped after the ferry from PEI and before driving to Halifax. The rooms were picturesque, loved the decorating. We were on the ground floor with bedroom, sitting area and bath, and a small patio with a treetop vision of the water. Our friends were on the second floor with a patio and a higher vision of the water. Beds good. We left before breakfast due to the need to be at the airport, so we ate at Sharon's Place in town.

Great stop after the ferry from PEI -

I chose Evening Sail because it is close to the PEI ferry. We spent one night in Jacob’s Dory with our children. The suite has private entrance, private bath and deck, plenty of space, small kitchenette and comfortable beds. 
Michelle and Gail are endearing hosts. Breakfast was served family style with great stories and travel advice. This was a new experience for our children and one they are still talking about. Everything presented was delicious. Michelle even sent us with muffins for our ferry ride.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. We had the small room, which was a bit cramped, but well furnished with taste. The bed was “comfy” as advertised and I enjoyed it. The breakfast was a bit disappointing though, it left us on our appetite. Just having come from another B&B with an incredible breakfast, the difference was day and night. The quiche was OK, but nothing to rave about and the portion of yogurt with fruit was tiny. There were some sweet bread/scones, but no one partook of them. No other breads were available. The hosts were very helpful in pointing out was to see and where to eat on our road for our next destination. Other than our breakfast, everything else was great about this B&B. 

Quaint little town and B&B

We stopped here for one night after coming back on the ferry from PEI. Michelle and her mum Gail are wonderful hosts and they gave great advise on places to eat. Nothing was a problem and everything was lovely. Our room was Jacob's Dory a lovely suite with 2 beds. Breakfast was full of lovely muffins and scones , granola for me and a savoury quiche for hubby. The beds as stated are really really comfy.

Great hospitality

We stayed in the Sea Glass room which is the newest of the rooms here.  We had our own entrance to the room from outside.  The room was very spacious with a separate sitting room.  Our host was very accommodating and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed.  The breakfast was fantastic!  Our hosts mom is the cook and she prepared a wonderful breakfast.  I have food allergies and she prepared a special meal for me.

Great Place

A fabulous B&B. Welcoming, clean, comfortable and very entertaining. Breakfast was a warm generous both in food and Informative. Run by Mum and daughter, the couple could not do enough for you so that your stay was memorable.


Great stay

Unique comfortable surroundings,great food and friendly welcoming staff.  Great location in Pictou . We enjoyed the double queen room . Lots of space and comfortable surroundings. Delicious breakfast served in spacious and inviting dining space. Owners are very friendly and give lots of great tips.
