We stayed in the small cabin and found it to be a really good value for the price. Nothing extraordinary, but everything essential was there, including kitchen utensils.  Really quiet and pleasant stay.  

Really good value for the price

Tiny room, tv didnt work, mediocre self-serve breakfast, no one onsite to check you in and owner made herself scarce.  I'm not fussy, but we booked 2 days and left after one. Other guests seemed equally baffled.

Uh, no.

Bit unusual in that you are not sure where to go when you get there. Luckily there were other guests already there to direct us. Room was fine except for the shower, which was pathetic.  Breakfast was nice with lots of variety and Anna is a very nice host. Made fresh cinnamon buns for us which was a very nice touch.  If they do something about the shower we might go back.  It was the most expensive place of our entire trip and I really don't see why.

Nice Spot

To start, we were not expecting to basically come upon an empty house, and based on an email, be directed to a room.   Our room was on the lower level so windows were right at ground level facing driveway.  opening windows to get some fresh air in could not be accomplished as windows swung in, blocking ability to close blinds.   We had a problem with the toilet and sink because the lower level facilities required an electric pump - and the ground fault had been tripped.  It took a little doing to make contact with owner - but once established- she quickly walked us through what the issue probably was and how to resolve.  The bed was up against the wall, making it difficult for 2 people to get in and out of bed without disturbing the other.  On the positive side - upstairs shared area was clean and the hot tub in backyard was great after a day of hiking.  We didn’t stick around for the included breakfast. 

Mixed bag

We called looking for a place last minute and Anna went out of her way to make our stay memorable. We never stayed in a shared house before and enjoyed the experience. Seeing moose and a bear right after breakfast on her front lawn didn't hurt 😁. She has great stories to share. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Definitely recommend!!

We rented the cottage which was quiet and clean. Just down the road from the bay, we went down to watch the sunset. We rented online at the last minute, and there were no instructions, and the owner was not there. There were other guests there however, and everything worked out fine. I would stay here again.

Nice accommodations

If you enjoy a B&B experience, don’t book Highland Breeze.  No one there to greet you.  Self serve breakfast of mediocre quality.  Beds are too soft.  Should be on Airbnb as a short term rental.  Never again!

Not a B&B at all.

the place was clean and could be charming and within walking distance of a very rocky beach,  but the communal area just outside our bedroom door was very noisy.  Our covers were extremely hot and the overhead fan was too noisy to run.  The shower head was way too powerful for the tiny size shower and the towels were brand new, never washed and not at all absorbent.  They also left black lint all over.  Probably would not stay there again.
