I stayed at Marie's place for 2 nights, following up to the Quebec Winter Carnival. Her place was a good location as it was central to the carnival and Cartier street, so walking about was an ease. We loved the breakfast she provided for us, it was memorable. She had a few rooms for us (my friend & I) to choose from. On the last day, we checked out on time and she was quite flexible with us leaving our bags at the first floor while we did our last roaming around Quebec city. Her husband, Jocelyn was

Clean and good location!

We like B&B's, not hotels, because we love to interact with people while staying in a new, unfamiliar town. We had a great time at Rosie's. Oh, sure, you need to walk upstairs a narrow staircase, but so what, it is a house, not a hotel Rosie lives in. Yes, Breakfast seems late to me at 9 AM but then....this is the french way( OK, I know it is Canada ). The actual breakfast is great! Rosie will don a chef's hat to make her famous breakfast. No, you do not need a key to lock the doors, nor do you need a key to get into the house. Rosie lives there, she is home there and she will gladly open the door for you. This is a B&B, not a hotel. A good B&B!  Come and visit, keep an open mind and enjoy the difference in living the 'french' way. Good Job, Rosie!
We were with Rosie and her husband for 3 nights, even parked our bikes in her backyard. The shared bathroom created no problem, even though I get up at night being in my 60's.

I stayed at Rosie B&B for three days, and I enjoyed it very much. She is very nice, friendly  and very clean. Old town is also very reachable from her place.

Bad experience - bad location - aggressive host - not to recommend!
Very bad experience at this place: "A l'etolie de Rosie”. The host is very aggressive and intimidating. Host Marie-Denise introduced herself with the name "Princess Rosie" = super strange. Shared her fanatic political views and is preaching hate. Dirty place. Dusty and musty. Stains and dirt everywhere. Bad and strange smell in the house. Not comfortable – not welcoming. No privacy - no keys or lock for the guest room. Host makes clear that she wants 5 stars and gives instruction on rating her and her place. Not to recommend. Never again! Pictures taken. Very bad price performance ratio.

I travelled to Quebec for Christmas eve and we were supposed to stay there with my brother.

We arrived in Quebec around 10pm that day and kept the landlord informed of our whereabout throughout the day and gave her the estimated time of arrival.
However it turned out that she had a christmas party on that day (which is understandable). She did not say anything about restriction in time of arrival except that checkin is from 5pm and 10pm is relatively decent for travellers.
Anyway she basically told us that someone (another guest which would do the job for her) would open the door for us upon arrival so that was fine as long as we could get in. 

Unfortunately for us, noone answered for at least an hour. We stood there ringing, sending text and calling her without any response when it was -12°C outside.
We decided to get back in the car until someone would show for another hour and still trying to contact her.

She finally answered one of our text, telling us the guest were out. (That is pretty normal after all they are not going to sit around and work for the landlord just because she has something else to do).

In the end we just got too tired and cold so we just booked somewhere else... my brother was tired of the trip and had just landed in the same afternoon.

So over the next few days we asked her for refund as obviously she could not accomodate us but refused telling us its our fault (what a joke, if you cannot accomodate someone advise them it wont be possible for this day).

We are now bringing this to the platform responsible for the booking hoping they will do something about this lady.

For all people reading this, I would advise you to consider carefully where you stay.

The owner is basically a thief

We are happy that we just stayed one night at this horrible BnB.
We met there the most unfriendly host ever! 
After we arrived at her house she told us her "Rules". And we started feeling uncomfortable. 
The room was nothing special and there was a "Tip pig" in it. I think it is really unprofessional if a host expect a tip from her guests. 
After telling us the rules she told us that we are not allowed to stay with our car at the street.So she offered us her parking place at the back of her house. The only problem was that we had to pay this service extra. At this point we knew that she only wants to make money. It does not seem that she likes to have people around her. 
At the morning she ordered us for breakfast at nine and just nine. So we went down at nine but she wasn´t there and nothing was prepared. Finally we had our breakfast at 9:40 am. The breakfast itself was nothing special and the fresh fruit came out of a tin. In the backround there was a kind of music with animal noises which was really loud.  At 9:50, ten minutes after we started eating, she told us that we have to leave her parking place at the back due to the fact that she sold it to the next one. So we just finished eating, getting our bags and leave this horribly place.

I can not recommend this place for anyone! It is better to find another place in this beautiful city.
