My review is for the services, especially by Jacques, the concierge.  I was there on holiday from Texas with my aging parent, and the hotel service was superbly accommodating, from getting a microwave and kettle to the room, the daily breakfast services, to the daily activities curated by Jacques.  I told Jacques that we wanted to take public transit to see the city and local markets.  He precisely curated a daily plan on where to go and eat, which bus to take and the details/highlights of each place.  I have never received such a free personal service like that, and I am grateful for Jaques.

Convenient Location, Practical Comfort

Jacques was an AWESOME help to me and my husband! We visited Quebec Coty this past week and had an AMAZING time because of Jacques’ directions to all the tourist sights were accurate, easy to find and comprehensive. He was a joy and pleasure to talk with!

The concierge/parking attendant /doorman, Jacques was very friendly and helpful. Always had a smile and suggested a great pub to go to for a drink and food. Even checked on my trip to my next destination to make sure I take the quickest route. Really liked my room also. I would stay here again


Jacques was great

I go there for many years. It's always such a great place to stay. The ladies at the check in counter ( 2 ladies with the same name Nathalie) are amazing the way they take care of their guest. Mr JACQUES LANGLOIS, the bell boy is also just super amazing to make sure everything is perfect. He took care for me to have a space to plug in my electric car, he is always smiling and friendly to make you feel you are part of his family, i just simply love it. He will find for me a nice table where to go for dinner and has always plenty of nice suggestion of restaurant based on what kind of food you would like to eat. He will always make sure you are happy. I can tell his years of experience on how to deal with a customer and make them happy.

Great  experience at Hotel Pur in Quebec city

Visited the hotel for the annual Winter Carnival. We spent 2 days in the city and really enjoyed the hotel hospitality.  The location and staff were excellent. The concierge Denis Bouchard was very helpful both days with recommendations and things to see while in Quebec City. We will gladly stay here again

Quebec City Visit 

What makes a good operation is the collective team.  Each individual in each area makes it all happen.  Compared to my original visit when it used to be operated by Wyndham, I was delighted to find that the staff here now is very friendly, helpful and customer service oriented.  Especially appreciated: a) the entire Concierge team who kindly helped us with taxis, places and eateries; b) the front desk personnel who was able to find that perfect room with a fantastic view for this light sleeper!  [Only thing that could improve is perhaps the food type options (vegetables, anyone?)  and pricing (breakfast is pricey) choices at the Table.]  Other than that, Marriott seemed to have done better in terms of improving the welcoming and inviting feeling at the hotel than their predecessor.  Location is away from the Old Quebec City but the safe & quaint side street next to the hotel of various fusion eateries, VanHoutte (attached to the hotel) and LaCordee outdoor store is unbeatable!  For anyone who likes fresh vegetables (hard to find in local menus) can simply walk down the main street (10 min walk) and buy from Metro Plus market which has everything.

Staff is A+

To be honest, I had a very pleasant stay in the Marriott operated hotel. Check in was friendly and fast. They gave me a spacious room on the eleventh floor with a good view of the city. The bed was comfy enough to get a good rest, but not soundproof, as I could hear the family staying in the room next to me. Due to the lack of time I didn’t swim laps in the pool or sweat in the sauna this time, but I will do so next time. Various shops and restaurants are located within walking distance.

Pleasant stay

We had an amazing experience at this hotel! Great location, close to everything. Very clean and lovely staff. The breakfast was fantastic, Jordane and David gave exceptional service! We will definitely be returning.

AmaZing experience!!

We stayed for 5 days during the week of Christmas.  The room was spacious, clean and with the amenities (small fridge, coffee maker).  Our room was 1410 which has a view directly to the Church, a very nice view to return to each day.  

Room service was not available but the restaurant staff was attentive and the breakfasts were substantial and overall good. 

Be aware that we had to struggle every day with the shower to get the appropriate water temperature, because either you freeze or youget burned.  

The hotel is not in Quebec Old Town, but close. 

Overall we had a good time in Quebec Old Town and the staff of Hotel Pur was attentive and courteous.
