Cheap and cheerful motel, dated furnishings, great bed and super clean. Claudette who took my reservation was very friendly, if you find a super clean room to be important this motel has nailed it.
Nice balcony to sit out on and watch the sunset over the river

Cheerful motel

We booked for two nights, a large room on the second floor overlooking the sea, we had a wardrobe room on the first floor with a tree-clogged view... for the same price.

Get away from me!

No air conditioner - No hair dryer - No refrigerator - No coffee machine - No small table inside Bed covering that is at least 30 years old and refreshed curtains Too much furniture and very refreshed, uncomfortable Cube between wall and vanity with no space on either side

The need for love

We were surprised by the lack of maintenance. We had a room at the back of the second. We had to leave the bedroom door open for several hours so the smell of locked up stuff camouflaged with maintenance products would get through our noses (it's true that there's also a farm in front of the inn, so we avoided opening the only small window despite the heat). Too much bulky and useless furniture (in bad and uncomfortable conditions). But there's no room or adequate trash can to have a table inside the room. But when you have to find a small trash can and warm yourself in the dining room.

It's a very uncomfortable and unwelcoming stay.

Basic comfort with: very firm low-end mattresses, flat pillows, two functional power sockets, no hair dryer, no coffee maker, no microwave and no refrigerator. Bad soundproofing between the rooms. We heard snoring in the next room. All content to sit outside to enjoy this beautiful landscape, floormates neighbors come and install themselves two meters from us and smoke one cigarette after another. For the owner's breakfast made was good and hot, $5 for two eggs, roasted beans, fresh fruit and coffee will. The owner was in demand with us and borrowed a dry one at a time. For us, the first floor will be important, and if you have a good view, the first floor is the best place to rent, because this is the first floor, and if you have a good view, the first floor is the best place to view the house.

Only exceptional view!

As we were passing towards the end of our tour of Gaspésie, the Auberge de l'Anse warmly welcomed us into one of its 11 rooms, all reserved for high season. Reservation a few days in advance is recommended! The owner and only person who does everything (other than housekeeping, what dedication) has a sense of humor that will please some, and not at all to others. To take with a grain of salt 😉 Some rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the bathroom is also impeccable. Two large patio doors that allow you to enjoy the breathtaking view.

Small hostel with WOW view, perfect for a short stay at RDL

We booked for one night and as soon as we arrived we were charmed by the place. So we extended our stay at the hostel for another night. Beautiful view, very relaxing. Good breakfast, the whole family loved the hostel. Thank you Claudette!! We recommend the hostel a quiet and Zen place!!

Everything is perfect.

The hotel is beautifully located on a promontory that gives an amazing view of the river. The rooms are simple, with basic equipment, but the balcony overlooking the river gives them a nice extension. The hostess Claudette is very welcoming and the breakfasts in the spectacular dining room start the day well.

The reception of the lower river

This was a one night stop on our way home from the Gaspé and it was a great choice. Close to restaurants and nice waterfront park with walking path and picnic tables. The view from balconies is outstanding and we saw a family of belugas playing. Breakfast is well worth the money also. 

 Best views of St Lawrence

As other reviewers have noted, the accommodation is very basic: clean but somewhat outdated. There is no hairdryer, alarm clock or fridge in the rooms. However, we were able to bring our Golden Retriever and every room has a fantastic view over the Saint-Lawrence river, with the Charlevoix mountains on the other side. There is a veranda overlooking the river and each room has its own outdoor table and chairs: we drove into Rivière du Loup, bought a cheese platter at a grocery store and a bottle of wine at the liquor outlet nearby, and had a wonderful meal while watching the magnificent sunset,
